***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Again Matt, 3 cards! I'll do some benchmarks with a single Titan but in retrospect I don't think that could be compared given Greg's overclock and GPU clock speeds :)

I'll post them anyway, I know for a fact the minimum will be below 60FPS at 4.5Ghz on the CPU.

Ok. :)

Feel free to send me a titan if you want me to run a quick bench as well. I promise ill take good care of her. :D

I think Humbug and Spoffle would cross you off their xmas card lists.:D

I'd be sad to see them go. :(

Speaking of Spoffle, barely see him post in here any more. He may have annoyed everyone at times but he was pretty knowledgable. I'd love to see his take on Mantle. :)

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
134077, 1547171, 30, 159, 86.659

You are quite right Matt and I have found a place where it dipped below 57 fps. I ran a whole round on 64 man conquest and happily went around in a Tank and Heli and pretty much owned (for my ripe age) and sat back looking at the scores at the end of the round and remembered I needed to press F11 again to stop the fraps bench :D

Interesting - would have been good to see your minimum if you had stopped the bench in time. Although your average suggests not a lot of time under 60 FPS in truth.

Minimum fps is a tricky one to judge things on.

If i look under the water whilst swimming or go out of the boundaries of the map (so i get the "return to the battlefield soldier" e.t.c my framerate tanks to in the 20's. I presume it is bugged.

Those are the only two times i can make the framerates go below the mid 50's.

Agreed and I am annoyed at myself for not pressing it quick enough. I hate sniperfest (conquest) and love the 32 man domination but will have a run again later with hopefully a more awake me.

You can't beat the sound of running and that most annoying electric snap of bullets missing your head every 2 or so seconds. It was a shame I didn't record this game, as I had a good gunner with me who took out most of the rooftop snipers in the heli.

Oh, think it's just clicked what you mean. It started loading the next round I take it? :D

I'll give it a bash too on a single card this evening. Right now I'm on clock watch lol.

I have 7990 running with an i5.

Last patch made loads of difference to smoothness and have considerably higher framerate. Night and day . CPU still in the high 90%'s and my GPU's have their feet up barely breaking 50%. The variance in fps causing lag is much less. Sitting much more solidly between 60-70 fps where beofre where it would fluctuate constantly between 20-60. The beta is positively playable now.

I'd like to unlock 100% of the full GPU but I'll wait until retail release and a patch before spending any coin.

I'm running W7 too.

Best

Similar story to me, very high CPU use - bottlenecked on my Q6600 @ 2.7 with 7950 OC'd only hitting 50-65%. Win7. Running 1440x900 :(

Got a 2700K (that'll happily do 4.6+) lined up with 8GB RAM. Probably not ready by release and probably up to 16GB RAM with Win8.

This game is very CPU heavy, i'm getting massive bottlenecks on my GPU with the FPS dropping to about 45 and the GPU dipping below 70%.

I'm on an i7 930 @ 3.6Ghz, before you point your finger at that :p it scores 9000 in FireStrike, which is about the same as a 4.6Ghz 3570K.

anyone else getting regular crashes, gpu at stock, even upped the voltage, dropped cpu multi, is it the game or something my end???

Yes, its a BF4 bug, supposedly fixed with the last patch, to be honest i have not had a crash since then but in the patch thread on the BF4 forum others are still reporting crashes.
