***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

I cannot get the sound in DxTory to work at all, is it to much to ask for something to just work without spending all day messing about setting it up just to get it to work?
 
pretty damn consistent FPS there with your 7950's Matt :eek: and there's me a with a GPU usage at 40% :(
Well this monday i will be ordering a 3770K :) I hope that makes for a better usage on GPU's

Thanks, i have done that. its worked, and used i the lossless Codec, tho better than the dxtory codec that's still to much for the mechanical drive i have, the rest are either very bad quality or put to much strain on my CPU.

So u have gone back to messing about with RadeonPro (which just works) set the Quality down a touch and it seem to be running just fine.
I'm about to record BF4 with it. lets see.
 
whats the best fov in bf4 guys for 1920x1200 res.
i currently have it set at 85.... but i noticed up top that 85 is for 1080p soooooooo im thinking 95-100 ?

85 for me or it aint worth playing.:D Though im tghinking of moving to 2560x1440 res soon, 85 suits me at 1920x1200. 670 sli will struggle with that, so im thinking of going to a single 780, then add a second later when theyre cheaper.
 
What fps should I be getting with my hd7990 ,I ran fraps and I was getting upto 85fps but it was more hovering around the 60-70 mark.I seriously think there is something wrong with my card as I'm only getting an average of 74fps in f1 2013.ive just done a new install of windows 8 and running the latest driver and running at 1080p,surely I should getting more than that does anybody have any ideas.i don't know if it helps but I have a funny feeling my psu is a bit underpowered to run the 7990 as it's a seasonic 620w could this cause a problem.

Thanks. Trust me its normally better than that (fps) but gpu usage was down to 75-97%. Probably down to me recording with DXTORY while playing this. Did seem to put extra strain on the cpu.
 
Is there any other way to reduce the hit that recording causes? Even at 1440p when recording im finding gpu usage dropping to 75%.
 
Just to throw mine in there for low(ish) end users
I have a 95W 1055T @ 3.4ghz and a 6870 .
Running at 1080p I am currently playing all low with ultra mesh quality it looks good and I keep about 45+ with lows of ~ 33.
Its about the same but a little lower if I use a mix of mediums and highs.
Im pretty happy with the way this works for now till I upgrade.
 
DXtory seems to work with very little frame rate drop in all other games, I just think its worse because we all know how much usage the CPU gets during BF4

Matt u have same CPU as me and im able to record with Fraps quite easily. What u need to do is set to 'Full Size' and put FPS to 30 but dont lock the framerate while recording.

I'll be uploading a video later today of how smooth it is on my system even when recording with Fraps and yes i have it in full 1080p now. I updated Fraps and it seems the latest version is running better for BF4 than the one i had installed :)

And the fact that u have 2x 7950's means in theory it should run better on ur system than mine as i only have the one 7950.
