***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Might aswell scrap that video i was gona upload.. i just love how Youtube let people encode a video to 1080p (and it looks peachy played on my computer) and when u upload to their poxy website they **** up ur video in the process.

Youtube quality is *****!

Render your video into a HD+ res and upload, you get to enable the "original" format, gives better playback quality.
Obviously slightly more work your end.

Out out curiosity, what are your render settings?

I use Adobe Elements and encode to 1080p H.264 or even 1080p Flash video. Its not me its youtube. They used to be better than this.

So you died a lot then? :p

haha funny guy :D

Actually i did some editing with slight transitions and added music to it but hey if youtube wanna mess my work up i'll have to find a different place to upload my vids from now on.

I was only joking and if anyone dies a lot, it is me :D

I uploaded a video of me playing on my 3 screens in 1080P and youtube squashed it down badly, so it looked like I was fatter than I actually am :(

I know u were joking but i do die a lot anyway lol

And yea this video was encoded at 1080p.. 21Mbps bitrate and is 670mb file size for a 4 minute video. Youtube aint got a clue anymore. Their processing process is just ridiculous.

Have you tried my suggestion?
I always find using a VBR on a 2 pass helps as well, uses less space and gives better quality on YT.

They do say the camera adds 10lbs, so stop eating cameras :D

Anyone run this on a Core2Quad? I've got a Q9550 @ 4GHz which is bottlenecking my GTX 770 in BF3 but still totally playable, just wondering if it will be too bad on BF4 (didnt have time to play the beta).

Tried that already when i saw u post that earlier and it came out worse than CBR.. either way its the same anyway as u set the lower variable and the target bitrate and i prefer to just set it at constant. In this case it was 21 Mbps.

I used the same profile as i did with a BF3 video almost 2 years ago and this BF4 video isnt as good as the BF3 one.

While I would adore to go threough 94 pages of this thread to find my answer. I'm just wondering if any of you AMD folks who use the 7970/280x in Crossfire would like to share your FPS and settings with me?

I use sony vegas, i just add sharpening to counteract the blur the compression adds and disable resampling. That vids only 140mb.

Cheers.. well it came out weird like in a square in the centre and not full screen and i dont have those above options in Adobe Elements. Trying a different codec now :)
