I was just reading the Corsair site actually. That's a big difference with memory speeds as games go.

Interesting. That's on haswell though. I bet the gains are much smaller on sandy, for example. (i hope
) I'm sure 8pack said the other day the memory scaling on haswell was immense. Anyway would be nice to see this tested on a sandy and ivy setup imo.

I'll be sticking with the sammy greens for now Frosty. Although i might have to reconsider my super tight second timings and instead start overclocking BLK to get the Mhz speed up to 2201 or 2233 if those benchmark scores are to be believed.

Probably a good shout. I remember nearer launch the X79 platform doesn't really respond very well in synthetic benchmarks to memory speeds, not sure on games as it's not really tested all that often.

Also a quick look at what Activision and Nvidia have coming up for us in Ghosts.

Still waiting on it to arrives from the states. Do you have some? If it never turns up id be interested in it. I reckon it will be here within another week or so, all being well.
I can't wait to see the Next Gen Dog in action.
Still running 8gb of it, unsure what to do at the moment. Fancy some new ram or sell my 670's and move to a single 780ti, or possibly even move to the red team depending on what the 290 is like.
Hold that ram for me mate. I'd love first refusal just in case my other 8gb goes **** up.
