there is something going on with just the 290x in them benchmarks tho, if you look at some the other res's too the 770 isnt that far away from the 780 but the 290x is massively better

im not saying they not true but does seem like something 290x specific going on

AMD probably spent ages ensuring the 290X ridicules a titan and forgot about the rest of their lineup.

Dunno, the 770 Boost a lot higher than the 780 and the 7970GE is in exactly the same ball park.

If your talking about something specific going on with the 290X.
The 290X is a different GPU, whats not obvious from the specifications is that it has 8 Ace units as opposed to 2 on the 7970, positionally that can make a significatnt diffrance if thats taken advatadge of, i'm willing to bet with BF4 it is.

unsurprisingly 270x crossfire looks totally pointless if the 290 is coming in where we think it is price wise

I can't understand why the fps is so low on 780 sli benchmarks at 2560x1440, I've only played it at 7680x1440 this morning on ultra no AA but it was a steady 45-55fps and hitting 70 in jets etc so I'm sure at 2560 it will be much better, anyway I will need to try it tonight and see, I was going to change for 780's but doesn't look like I will need to now. Also I'm hitting 3200mb Vram so the 680's only replacement can be Titan but not paying that money this game will run so smooth even at 30fps when I run Fraps record its nothing like the beta was, I'm sure 290x crossfire would feel crap at my res like all other Amd cards I've had before but time will tell (fingers crossed) :s

CF is Much better than SLI with BF4 currently.

Why do people always machine gun a chopper 2 miles out of range

I hate that in BF3, some twit jumps in my Tank and then starts machine gunning everything in the air, its just alerting them to your being there, like painting a target on the turret "Hello Mr Gunship, jucy Tank down here for you"

It looking at the review posted in here a page or two back. The % scaling is higher in SLI.
