From what I played earlier I hope the drivers improve the experience, because it was a bit nauseating!

Ah AA was off. Fair enough, just wanted to clarify. Looking forward to your results. Does not seem to be many of us at 1440p so far.

Yes sorry about that I just stuck it on and started playing.

I'm very happy playing now with my 7950 and don't think I will bother with the 290x.

The reason I'm on old drivers is because all the games I play get a solid 60fps so haven't bothered keeping up to date.

But going from 13.4 to 13.10 has given me an extra 20 fps on my average.

It is still dropping to 40's when I'm in a vehicle and there is smoke around.

I'm very happy with the way it's playing on my 7950 max setting 4xmsaa but I will probably still upgrade in the next few weeks to get that solid 60fps to something like a 7970 matrix platinum.

Ran the beta using the Ultra preset just for fun. wasn't too bad to be honest, unplayable but not bad, had no Vram issues either.

Think i'll stick with ultra but no MSAA for now though, that is until i get my hands on a 290X:D

Should be fine, BF games have always been more dependent on the GPU. Is there a reason you're at 3.6ghz? Tried getting a better cooler and going for 4ghz? Or is the chip a poor clocker?

I have 2GB 680s in SLI - will only be able to test late tonight/tomorrow but will definitely update asap.

If this kills my rig (1440, 2600k, 8GB RAM), I will very likely just sell my BF4 keys and happily play other games in the meantime - not really a deal breaker either way.
