Those are basically the same settings i use for bf3, (except for fov). Pleasantly surprised at how well it ran. Albeit ill still be waiting with baited breath for the full release.

I am seriously pleased for the 2GB guys. This is an anticipated game for many and there would have been nothing worse than having to turn settings down. It has come to a point it seems though that SLI and CF are the norm. More and more games are pushing our hardware and unless you have £500+ to chuff up in one hit, you need to buy 2 GPU's to have top settings.

Progression I guess.

It's awful for me, it's actually unplayable!

Stutters and jerks all over the place, tears badly and what's more i've even heard the sound glitch on occasion. This is the worst running game for stutters i've ever played and it should not be doing that on my system.

My testing was rubbish compared to you all but I used a GTX 690 and I5 4.5Ghz on the latest betas and my fps was 50 - 90 on very high. I noticed I only play on very high for BF3 as well as I like it to be fast as possible and look reasonably nice.

Very playable and fun !

I was just checking other forums and you get posts like this

Dat constant stuttering Seriously, it's almost unplayable for me, no matter the settings used

And considering the launch is supposed to be in a month I think, the performance is pathetic.

Tried the game again and its just a stuttering mess even with Vsync enabled from Inspector and all settings in low. Seems DICE perfected the Rubberbanding this time around. Atm this game to me is just a very shiny piece of turd, i know its Beta but still.

Glad i'm not the only one

I'd like to express my shame and embarrassment that my 2700k gets ousted by a FX 8350.

ahaha - not when our babies are clocked at 4.8 it won't ;) :) ;)

Anyways - What FOV should one be using for 1440p please?

btw - those with LCD keyboard (like my G15) should be able to monitor VRAM no probs ;)

Have you tried in window mode? mine seems to have fits in fullscreen where it will struggle along at 20-30fps - no real stuttering but as you move from area to area you can feel a bit of background choppiness as its swapping data in and out. In Windowed even at the same res as fullscreen I get twice the framerate and its much much smoother. For some reason borderless window mode doesn't work at all.

Runs nice and smooth on my 780 o/c. Custom settings all maxed @ 1080p

Nice to see it working all 8 threads on my old i7 too. Well optimised.

Seen 2164MB max memory usage.

Pretty much the same here at 1080p. Cpu is running at 80% and gpu at a solid +95% on the latest betas. Vram usage sits at no more than about 2.2gb so far.

Windowed mode was certainly better, still though it makes no sense :(

For me BF4 Beta runs the same or slightly worse than BF3, same settings on a 120hz Samsung monitor. Still my 2 cards are nowhere near 100% and haven't ever been, all stock settings atm but still the GPU usage should be higher than 50 - 60%.

I still dont think we can base it on a 6 month old build for a "Beta" , However I do believe with optimisations in the works for both the Red and Green team that 2GB will be enough, maybe too close for comfort for some people but its not going to effect much
