I'd like to express my shame and embarrassment that my 2700k gets ousted by a FX 8350.

Quick blast on it just now, 32 player server. Settings below.



I7 4770k @4.5ghz, stock speed sli gtx 670 wf x3's. Couple of fraps benchmarks

Maybe they should have a graph with all the CPUs overclocked to 4.5 instead.

These graphs do make the i5 look bad only running at 3.3 lol

Ahh Im a 690 but no sound - probably a problem as Im using spdif output which is converted to dts

The big question of the day and credit to whoever originally spotted it. Does running the Ultra preset really give you the highest details? As notied earlier ultra preset does not appear to put every option at ultra. Some remain at high. I'm trying to remember back to bf3 beta. Now if im correct i think bf3 allowed you to select ultra but it didnt actually apply ultra settings, certainly not all of them Is that the case here? Answers on a postcard.

Yeah you need to go custom on this and change quite a few of them to Ultra manually.

Regarding bf3 beta, im nearly sure that full ultra wasnt available in it.

I think ultra sometimes sets them all to ultra other times it doesn't.

If I go to my ultra everything is ultra but this morning it wasn't.

I'm not sure myself if it changes anything, hopefully in the full game Ultra switches everything max.

Ha. I've been saying for ages that the 8350 will be great for BF4, yet everyone still insists on i5s.

Same with bf3, myself, Matt and a few others experienced the problems with i5's in it. Particularly with sli/xfire.

AMD spent as much as $8 million on EA/DICE Battlefield 4 deal

For 8 mil it better run best on AMD hardware.

I've just found that Metro 2033 is a mess on my 4670K compared to my 4770K, so I've no doubt on an 8350 it would be fine.

Frostbite's use of 8 cores is showing the benefit of 8 cores (finally).

It will be the same as with BF3, some maps run great some not so. The beta map has massive buildings and so I would say the CPU will be highly stressed on this map, other maps with less complex structures will run better.
