Look at the Metro 2033 results I mentioned Absolutely appalling stutter on an i5 clocked at 4.5GHz, but fine on an i7 at stock. It seems that when a game expects more than 4 cores and is CPU heavy, it causes some thread bottlenecks on the CPU that result in stutter. The average FPS is probably not all that different.
Don't forget to change FOV to 90 or whatever it should be according to your resolution
Any need for post like that? I have no idea if it needed it or not just posting what hwinfo64 reported.
Some people.
Edit
After reading that back, I think you have issues. Go see a doctor.
Do you have a Porsche is that it? Or do you just use 2 parking spaces a lot?
What's the doctor gonna do, remove my sense of humour so I can be more like you? (OK, that was uncalled for, but you started the personal stuff).
I was just wondering if it needed all the 2.7GB as I'm sure there was a similar discussion around BF3 and it using more VRAM than it actually needed as 1.5GB cards could play without issues even though VRAM usage went above 1.5GB on cards with 2GB VRAM. So it was speculated that it was being a bit lazy with regards to clearing out VRAM and so appeared to use more than it actually needed to. I'm also not sure how you would tell if it's using it all but I was hoping that perhaps someone with a 2GB card could report if there were issues, rather than someone with a 3GB card.

When I was playing I only saw about 90% cpu usage across all 4 cores. I was looking under the performance tab in task manager.
i think its hard to tell from that anyway, a lot games say they using 100% cpu when they really not
I was hitting a peak 72% usage per thread on a 4770k @ 4.6ghz with a single 780.
I wouldn't be surprised if i5's are falling over in this, they did the similar things in bf3 when paired up with enough gpu grunt.
Will see how close 4 threads of haswell come to choking a single high clocked 780 tonight, could be interesting if its only a few % away meaning 20nm cards next year could cause single card bottlenecks
Just ran it on a [email protected] and a 770 Lightning 1260/7000 Ultra preset - 1080
Latest drivers installed - it was unplayable, by this it was a stutter fest - vram used 1840
Dropped down to high preset and playable - vram used 1680
Early days i know but maybe the Alpha vram benchmark wasn't far off.
Don't like to say this - but me thinks you nailed it early on
Discerning gamers in search of the highest possible level of detail may need to invest in some sort of SLI or CrossFire solution, and preferably with more than 2 GB of video memory per card.
If I am reading this thread right then surely its better to buy a 8 core AMD CPU ?
