***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Even though i get no noticeable stutter or cpu spiking the game is still soooooo frustrating when you die behind a 2 foot thick wall, I started thinking there were special armour piercing rounds on some gun that went straight through walls that only i did not have :)

Although i only play for fun i just cannot be bothered anymore.
 
All in all its been alright for me lately, hit detection still waaay out in some instances (getting shot while 10m around a corner) but besides that not bad for a game nearly a year old.

CZ-3A1 = close quarters carnage, brilliant gun, a shame the bulldog and deagle are hand held nuclear warheads. The most unbalanced weapons I've seen in a Bf game.

Played a round just now, still the odd laggy spike, but reg was absolutely spot on. Dropping people with a few rounds at pretty long range with the ACE21 cqb carbine. That and a few craftily placed SLAM's, (i only thought mines in bf3 were a great laugh).
 
This problem has only manifested itself since the Dragons Teeth DLC and was fine before. Game was great before that on 7990 with Mantle. Doesnt need 2 series card to enjoy mantle. The game is borked and like Setter was seeing if there was a fix. Only thing I havent tried is going back to Direct X...or have I? Setter?

Really is no need to shout "change hardware" when it is the game that has never really worked. Anyone can chuck money at a problem and I can't chuck money at the game.I don't think it's just AMD users either.

Only way to make a game work due to patches/DLC updates etc is to have a set of cards from the latest and previous gen and both AMD and Nvidia - that's the amount of coin you need to chuck at the BF4 problem. Then maybe you'll always get the game to work. Though my ability for my wallet to open for another title on Frostbite 3 and later has ceased. They havent delayed hardline because it worked properly.

Also I read (maybe here) that the community test environment folk recieved a 30+ GB version of Dragons Teeth. New BF4 game with that? Anyone know?

Look at the patch notes for Dragons Teeth, they nerf'd every single weapon outside of the Dragons Teeth DLC, one can only assume so that you get owned by anyone with a Dragons Teeth weapon to encourage you to go and buy the DLC or Premium.

Every weapon now that i'm used to has a noticeable difference, they all have the power of pea-shooters and i get owned by someone with a Bulldog every single time because it takes 4 times as many bullets to kill compared to it.

BF4 has just become properly pay to win.

Its in CTE. shouldn't effect normal and yet my Friend the AWS which i have been using for about 50 hours was noticeably less effective after the last patch, i seem to be spraying twice as long into the chest or head at all ranges, unless the last patch has introduced yet another hit box / tick rate problem. tho i'm pretty sure its gone down from what was 35 to 30, though i could be wrong.

It's not OP at all really. It just seems so because everybody THINKS it is OP and is therefore using it. The gun doesn't do anything the SCAR-H doesn't already do. In fact the SCAR-H kicks about less and has less spread. It's a better gun for pure aiming.

The Deagle is a bit too strong though... if you can aim (which the mass majority of the BF population can't aim for peanuts) then you will have a lot of fun with it. I am having a lot of fun with it :D. May as well until it gets toned down a bit. I think they'll change the hip accuracy and increase the vertical recoil a bit. It doesn't noticeably kick until the third quick shot. Two shots go dead straight and the mild recoil can be countered with pretty basic adjustment with the mouse.

I do like the SCAR-H, it's lethal with good aim, short aimed bursts. i have not used it for a long time, i have been unlocking other weapons since last using it to give me some variety.

At the moment i'm addicted to Locker, the AWS is just awesome for Locker, that and if your Base Raped; a Sniper Rifle.... :cool:

Locker is the new Metro :D
 

The weapon I've found most effective against bulldog users at short to med range is the CZ-3A1, only kicks out 20 damage per shot but packs a 1000 rate of fire vs the bulldogs 700 and has next to no recoil at all.

A little math helps on weapon selection:

Rate of fire / damage = true powah

Bulldog: 700 / 40 = 17.5
CZ-3A1: 1000 / 20 = 50
Deagle: howeverfastyoucanrepeatedlytapLMB / 85 = 1000 megaton nuclear arsenal.

SCAR-H with muzzle break and angled grip is my usual choice, didn't get on with the bulldog. I only play CTE atm though as the netcode and game itself feels far better than the normal client. If DICE had decided to wait 2 years between games and released it with all the planned CTE fixes, the game wouldn't have received anywhere near as much criticism as it did.

Ive had the spiking issue since bf4 was released. At that time i was running an i7 3770k and sli gtx 670's. Those cards were carried over to my spec in sig for a while before getting the gtx 780. Get it at stock speed or oc'd on gpu's and cpu's, (3x haswell i7's). Few things ive tried, unparking cores, user.cfg file tweaks, various changes in the nv control panel, experimenting with multiple setting configurations in the game graphics menu, ports on router, even been as far as uninstalling the game, reinstalling it and a format and reinstall of windows. All i can think of is that its a server issue, CTE is a lot better. But i havent played it in a while and need to download the 30gb update.
