I downloaded CTE this morning as BF4 was crashing for me yesterday. Wow, it plays so much better. The hit reg, the feel, everything about it is ten times better. Why haven't they released this yet?

I see what you mean about the crashing now Rusty. Dragons teeth has been out a long time now, they really need to get the game updated again and get the CTE build out in the public. It's fantastic.

I saw less fps drops for sure mate.

Yeah next month, So frustrating seeing how the game runs on cte for us to wait till they patch it, Soo bored of waiting for stuff like this, Which is why bf5 I'm going to wait till the bargain bin prices.

Got CTE back installed, eventually, now to try and find a server thats not just full of bell ends trying to launch a tank with C4...

I'm not fussed - at least changes are being tested now. I'm sure when they do patch there will not be as many issues as in patch patches (BF3 included).

Every game should have a CTE if you ask me.

Every game does, it's called alpha, beta and rc testing phases, usually carried out before it go's to retail and they take your money

My thoughts on the current cte...certainly a smoother game, I'm not sure if it's my mouse setting on the cte but I'm hitting very little, like the hit reg zone is too small. Will try more later on, beers probably not helping.

Try dropping your mouse dpi or sensitivity down a bit. I have to do so for both CTE and bf3 compared to what I use in 4.

Just had a quick go with 4 x 290Xs @stock
4K maxed.
DX11.
4930k @4.0ghz.
Busy 64 man game.
And got killed about 10 times in 5 minutes.
Settings used below.

I just wanted to show I don't need to overclock the CPU much to get playable fps.
I may have done even better if I could actually play the game and avoid getting shot so many times.

Impressive Kaap, just run a stock cpu now myself. Not seeing any issues with sli 780's. Game also runs much better since adding a second card. I'm seeing much less cpu spiking.

Nice fps there Kaap. I can only imagine what you would get on Mantle if the vram usage was lower.

I recommend you increase the FOV to 90 or so too. It will make the picture look better and increase the amount you can see on screen.

Another thing coming soon from CTE is fov changes, apparently its still borked in the full game. I'll see if I can dig the article up later, browsing on phone at the mo.
