The Callisto Protocol

You can use a FOV enhancer with Dead Space, which makes a world of difference!

This will need it too :(
I play it in surround, so is relatively fine - or at least better than on a single display.

The controls however are horrendous, especially the mouse acceleration.Anyway, got stuck in that place (can't figure out to progress further) and got bored with everything. Probably I'll play the remake when is on sale or something. DS2 seems to have better controls at least. :)

With that said, hopefully this game will be spared of that nonsense at least.

Dont know why people keep complaining about the controls with DS1, once you adjust to your preference its fine. No issues at all.

This was suggested to me in the Dead Space remake thread. Helped a lot.

There's a new podcast out on this too as a prequel to the story, check it out:

I'm cautiously hopeful for this but since it's Unreal Engine 4.x, I'm also expecting it to be a stutter-fest on PC when it launches

As mentioned previously, this uses a bespoke version of unreal engine which includes stuff under the hood from unreal engine 5 with help from Epic. I'd be very surprised if there's any stutter.

Plus is it even an issue today? The latest games I have played using UE4 (Stray and Scorn) showed no sign of any stutter at all.

Not that I've seen yet which is a shame, given how close it is, would expect it any day now I guess.

Yep - there's games being released today with almost unplayable amounts of shader compilation stutter - even from Sony:

Seems that's implementation related to each specific game rather than an outright "if it's ue4 then it will stutter" - I've not played sackboy so can't say what it's like, but the above titles on ue4 were smooth as.
