The Callisto Protocol

I've been saying it since getting the world's first 34" ultrawide from LG back in around 2014 - It really is the best way to get immersed so it's really nice to see a game being developed on an ultrawide too as you just know it will make full use of the aspect ratio

If you can ignore the bezels in you mind, something like Surround or Eyefinity is even better. :)

Might pick this up on PS5, I'm tired of Unreal Engine on PC. Just tried gungrave gore on gamepass which released today and when I saw the UE logo I knew it was going to stutter and it did. Downloaded on my series s and its a much better experience despite being at a much lower resolution.

Never heard of that game but I have played a couple of recent games running UE4 and they had no stutter so I wasn't sure what people have been on about having not played the other games that do stutter using UE4.

Just keep in mind that this is a bespoked version of UE4 with bits of UE5 built for this game and I can't imagine Glen Schofield allowing such a problem to slip through as he's all about removing anything that detracts away from the player immersion.

This is what the majority of UE games on PC are like in my experience:
Although Sackboy was fixed with a patch a little while ago which is great - most are not and I find the majority of UE games have this shader stutter on PC.

Yep, it's a pox on PC gaming and we don't even know if UE5 will bring forth improvements. We need more outlets joining DF in calling it out.

It can easily be remedied if developers can be bothered.

They just have to compile the shaders before the game starts, like Forza horizon 5 does (I know that's not unreal engine)

This does usually mean they need recompiling if you update the graphics card driver or change settings in the menu but it's a small price to pay for no stutter.

Or just get it on PS5/Xbox Series X/S
