The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

I'm busy looking for the family, can anyone tell me whereabouts they are based? Should I be looking at night, or can I look at anytime?

they were in the sation near arefu ...i didnt realise you could go down the manhole in the room at the station there so spent ages looking in all 3 locations I was told to look at !!

That where the two dead guys are working in the lab, with the barrels of radiation next to the manhole?

yup..I kept away as I thought the whole place must be irradiated!! so it was doing my nut in..I went down there through sheer depseration only to find the radiation risk was just at the bloomin manhole!!

lol every time i fast travel to the metro station near rivet city, I arrive in a battle between talon, and the regulators, both of whom are after me :/

Seems like going from very evil, to very good, doesn't stop the evil bounty, just means both are after you, fortunately they usually try and kill each other first.

Just found the crashed ufo! The alien blaster is awesome, best saved for special occasions though as ammo for it is as rare as hens teeth!

What's everyone's play time so far? I'm over 50 hours now (don't know how that happened!) and I've still got tons to explore, only just started going north of the river and I've still not been to any of the other vaults.

Windows LIVE Fixes

If like me you have been getting problems going into LIVE for the past few days I have managed to fix it:

1: Find and download the UK patch (LIVE is only pushing out the US one at this time).

2: Download and manually install the latest LIVE update. http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=128962

3: http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-GB/Support/Pages/technicalIssuesGuide.aspx
To troubleshoot any other issues with your LIVE account.

Also some guy in the US bought 320 copies for his university campus  and had tech problems with these so has a detailed list of what his computer science dept found with the game. Some of its scary stuff as if true looks like Fallout 3 downgrades or installs beta versions of system software on Vista like dot.net & C++ Visual Studio 2005:eek: Then he also goes on to say that they also found at least 8 hidden non plug & play virtual drivers as well as the securom rootkit:eek:

Can I say I didn't much like FO3? Or will I be beaten with radioactive sticks?

I'll risk it... FO3 was a disappointment. But not an unexpected disappointment.

No you won't be beaten, but your game judgement will be questioned.
OK. What I meant to say was, "96%, GOTY" :D

Yahtzee did mention a couple things, like lack of difficulty.

Tbh, when I found I could wipe out whole groups of raiders with 10% in small guns skill, I was a little bemused.

I have a bit of a Problem. Currently completing 'Those!' down in the subway and have found a voice recording asking to find a key hidden in a fire-hode reel, then go to the safe and get the stash. I've found the safe, but no idea where the key is - Anyone know?

Took me a while too, just wonder adround everywhere and you will eventully find the firehose box. Its nothing special, but i thought it was quite funny when you open the safe.

I'm stuck - suppose I should check out a walkthrough. It's one of the vault missions where you climb into a chamber and end up stuck in some black and white computer generated world. It's really surreal and feels totally out of place. I've been told I have to try and split some couples marriage up but I can't work it out! Talk about weird!

Also is it possible to finish a quest without actually starting it? Might sound a bit odd, but I've walked around a lot and explored, and accidentally discovered quite a lot of characters and things, but I'm concerned that I don't want to get too far ahead and complete it whilst missing out on loads of things. Like this Charon character, and power armour and stuff like that. I don't know who he is, and I've got some power armour but I'm not trained in it so I can't wear it. I'm only at level 10 too. I've discovered the rail gun, but have yet to build one.

I think it's a pretty stunning game, I wonder if they will bring out an expansion for it?

Doing them quests is the bad route.

There is another route and thats the good route.
