Works perfect for me on ATI 4850 + 4870. Try looking at the Fallout3 launch menu options to see whats in there.Has anyone else here had trouble getting AA to work? I have it set to over-ride and 8x in CCC but in-game it just looks like there is no AA applied at all...
HDR is enabled but I thought ATI could do ADR + AA with no issues?
it appears to be some sort of driver bug as BLoom + AA works fine.

You'll have to download the patch and do it externally. Mine always does that. Its some thing to do with steam for me I think.
absolutely loving this game, it has the same greatness as deus ex, which is all about the story and characters and also locations.
i have looted some power armour and helmet and i cannot use them without training. how do i get training? do i have to do a mission for ( i forget thier names ) super robots?

Not using STEAM for it though also have the same problem with Lost Planet seems to be an issue with LIVE itself.
i came across him and i have no idea where to get sugar bombs.
so he is the link for the family too? if i remember they travel at nigh , so i assume that they will be in their hideout of a day no?
how is the sugar bomb fella linked to the family?

You get it when you gain access to the Brotherhood of Steel citadel.
Sugar bombs are just found like loot. As for the fmaily, look in one of the guys rooms (one with radioactive barrels in it) and he has a tunnel that leads to their hideout.
is that the place where you put up that satellite you scrounged from the museum?

nice, thanks,, im yet to come across any sugar bombs , oh, wait, are they cherry bombs? i have loads of those

You wont get in till later in the story though.
right , so ill keep hold of the armour then , looks very protective.
Sugar Bombs are just sweets - you should find them with food in old shops etc.
He uses them to make the drugs more powerful for Ghouls.
I wouldn't bother. You'll come across loads of power armour later and the 50 or so lbs of weight the power armour+helmet is can be used for much more useful things.
Bit of advice, I lugged around power armour from when I first picked it up, by the time you learn to use it. You will easily be able to get hold of it, so don't feel you need to carry that bit.
Just saves you some more inventory space.

I lugged some around with me until i got my house, now i just thru the stuff in there so it can be used for repairs.

Don't bother.
By the time you get power armour training, you will have delt with several enclave troops. From then onwards, the enclave armour is easier to find and is generally in better condition than the brotherhood power armour.
Besides; the best armour to get actually seems to be the ranger battle armour. Only 1 point less damage resistance than the power armour, gives +5 AP, +1 luck and +10 small guns. Plus, it's easy to find other armour to repair it with, since any type of combat armour will do, including talon combat armour.
I think that ranger battle armour + enclave power armour helmet is the only way to roll
