Broken Steel, scheduled for release in March 2009 and available for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game, sees the player join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all, and continues the adventure past the main quest. haha had a bit of an oops moment before. got ambushed out of nowhere by two super mutants (front and behind oddly..) after a long winded battle, and i had forgot i previously had the Fatboy equipped and holstered.. :o needless to say i'm sure you can guess what happened :D *idiot*

I installed a mod with a new gun, the readme says it is available at Flak & Shraphnel in Rivet City but I enslaved Flak for the slavers so he isn't there, how can I still buy (or steal) this weapon?

Anyone noticed the latest Nvidia drivers (v181.20) on Vista cause Fallout 3 to crash all over the place ?

Not had any issues here on Vista x64 with 181.20 drivers. Only thing was the mouse pointer accelerating in foreground menus which I have fixed by adding these lines in [controls] section of fallout.ini,

fForegroundMouseAccelBase=0
fForegroundMouseAccelTop=0
fForegroundMouseBase=0
fForegroundMouseMult=0

The 1.1 patch is full of FAIL. There are issues all over the place :/

Pre 1.1 everything was fine. I had no crashes, no odd glitches and alt+tabbing out to the desktop (Vista x64) to paste screenshots, or check irc and then back into the game was fine.

1.1 arrives and suddenly I cannot alt+tab back into the game, so I have to kill the fallout process losing my progress in-game. Has anyone else got this issue?

I've seen more odd graphical glitches in the past 12hrs in-game than I ever have. Either that or the NW corner of the map is glitched to hell with odd floating elements and monsties stuck in a 'jumping up and down' loop lol

I even have 'lag' in VATS now

I jave the alt+tab thing, it will work a few times then it wont maximise at all, been a couple of gfx glitches, mainly at wheaton armoury and i did have some lag when i entered VATs, but as soon as u crouched it vanished ?

Game still crashes at seemingly random intervals for me =(
I really, really wanna be able to play the game through as what I've seen before my crashes kicked in seemed fantastic, but I can't be bothered with it as it stands.

How do I find out which version of the game I'm running? I tried installing the latest patch but it froze during the patch install. I then tried again and it loaded the game during the patch install :confused: I have no idea if it actually patched it or not. Thanks.

Just got to level 20 and unlocked the "Explorer" perk which reveals all the locations of places you have yet to come across, now I thought i did pretty well in discovering as much as I could in the time it took me to get to that level but there are absoloutely shed loads of places undiscovered. The map is crammed!

Now taking my time to explore every previously unexplored location.

Cool game, love it.

I got my character to 23 when i completed the story line, so ive started again this time with a female, got dogmeat near the start and the stupid mutt when haring after 2 super mutant brutes and 4 talon merc guys, but alas poor dogmeat he died a stupid death and he tasted good afterwards :D
