The Diddler

Seriously? Is it even legal to broadcast footage of someone being raped?

Grim5 seemed to add the "raped" part in there, as the article he linked has no mention of that, in fact it even states its unclear if the celebrity is underage or an adult on the tape.

There's not a chance that I'd watch something like that. It's horrific to think that this would be considered entertainment.

I don't think it's meaning rape in the sense of violent and forced, more statutory rape if they were under the age of legal consent.

In which case any company that bought the tape, and the person or persons selling it are exceptionally stupid.

As that would likely make it quite illegal to possess, let alone replicate or distribute.

I'm not sure where folk are getting the idea that most of this is involving underage people, yeah they've reported people as young as 9 I think it was, but that seems the minority. Most of the accusations seem to revolve around adults and drink/drug or violent rape.

I'm more appalled at people apparently thinking video footage of sexual abuse is entertainment, since when was that acceptable? I know that porn has been a thing since the camera was invented, but the idea that actual media outlets are trying to purchase this footage is something else entirely.

Why because it will make money? The same reason women sell their bodies online. Grifters will grift till the end of time. Forget making a honest living in the 21st century.

Women selling sex consensually is completely different from someone being sexually abused, with the footage being distributed without consent. I'm amazed that I'm having to point that out, TBH.

If it's child porn, US law is not kind - anyone who has it is in trouble - the person selling and the media outlet, but just like the iPhone 4 leaks back in the day - media outlets are protected by US law and nothing will happen to them but the person who sold or gave them footage is looking at jail time for possession and distribution of child porn

The idiot is trying to make a quick buck but needs a lawyer - that person is going to jail for sure if police find out who it is

The more that comes out the more I end up thinking the diddler is going to end diddled on a cell floor never to play with his diddler again.

I hope they go after them all with zero remorse tbh.

I wasn't comparing the difference more how you are surprised that people would want to watch a Diddy sex tape. Weirdo's get turned on by different things.
