I had the exact same problem, but that was when it was first released in the bad state it was in. Played it again and finished it recently, well I say finished you can just carry on. Anyway this time around I thought it was a very good game, can't wait for 2. My 1070ti plays it perfectly btw, so you will have no issues at all.

I'm about to launch TD1, I've not tested it on the my new GPU yet. I'm running 8700k @ 5Ghz, EVGA 2080 ti XC Ultra (2050Mhz core and 8000Mhz memory OC) and a measly 16gb ram as I still don't see the need for 32gb.
My display is an ASUS ROG PG297Q so it would also be nice to be close to the 144fps mark as possible. I'm going to assume TD2 will be that bit more demanding with the changes and upgrades to the engines.

Running a 1080ti and a 9900k with everything on max (nothing reduced) in Div 2 beta I was getting over 100fps consistently so you should be fine.

Sweet, was that 1080p or 1440p? I launched TD1 and I was getting around 100fps with my setup an hour ago.

1080p / 240hz screen with every setting maxed as high as it would go. No oc on the 1080ti. Based on that I would imagine on a 1440p you should be able to push 144hz with a 2080ti since it is quite a step up.
I'll be lowering some settings to increase fps during pvp, but for pve i think having the fog and whatnot maxed looks much better and makes the game feel more immersive.
If i went through the settings turning things down to see what had the most visual or performance impact i imagine it would be possible to find a nice balance of eye candy vs fps. But for the beta i just wanted to max it out and have fun.
Hum. Really annoyed that I miss TD on sale then as at that price it would have been worth picking up if it morphed into a better game.
Will take a look at TD2 open beta and see what its like. I need a pretty solid single player affair though as I don't get much time to play.
Blimey its open beta tomorrow! I had no idea march was so close. Ok so I'll get absolutely minimal time to try that then given the in laws have turned up.

Download speeds are shocking I presume their server is being hit hard.
speeds were fine a few hours ago. If you haven't deleted the private beta, open beta is about a 14gb patch.

). Yeah, 45gb is the full download without having kept the private beta.ps, does anyone know if the full game release (march 15) will need another full download or just a patch?
You sure you have preloaded the open beta then? because the FAQ says
"Players who already have the Private Beta or the Technical Test build installed on their computer won't have to download this client again. Instead, they will only have to download a patch!"
it doesnt do it automatically, you have to click on the open beta advert and hit preload
no confirmation that i have seen but it is expected that it will be a patch

Yeah when i click on it, takes me to the open beta and the preload is all greyed out cant download anything, so wonder if its when it goes live?
hmm maybe it did do it automatically for you then, seems like it is pre-loaded
mine might be set to not auto update then, will have to change that

I only just noticed, I'll be able to start playing tonight at 2300. It's currently 1100. I'm oddly excited for it 
How do i do the update. In installed games it is there but greyed out no action can be taken, in the new open beta tab, there is no preload/update button.

Did you play the technical test? I don't think there is currently anything additional to download at the moment.
