The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Wow wow wow. :O

Loving the weather effects, and the art in general. Might be the one game I purchase after getting Starcraft II. :D

The gameplay looks great. The graphics look okayish but perhaps will look better on PC and with mods certainly will. Still worried about it being dumbed down though.

"We often use water to guide you out of the cave" :/

Seeing as the engine is DX11 capable, I'm sure the modding community will see to any disappointments we might have with the graphics.

Well one you can use the map, and secondly if it isn't clear i don't want to **** about in a cave for 20 minutes trying to find my way out, it isn't really immersive or better doing that, just irritating.

You've always had a map of caves previously haven't you? I'm not so sure a bit of water would make it any easier to get out than it was before.

Presumably it's not every cave, and who knows maybe the odd cave's water might lead you the wrong way if you get dependent on it.

Been looking forward to this for so long. If I don't think about it, November will sneak up on me.

I want to know the system requirements for pc! If this is going to be on consoles, it should run just like oblivions engine performance wise, if not better?

Stunning for the most part, but I noticed two annoying things.

1. When the enemy's mate gets shot, he takes out a sword and just stands there (very Oblivion-esque...)
2. The bizarre way that the giant falls through the air on being dropped by the dragon.

I really hope these are fixable glitches. I'm not usually one to complain about this sort of thing, but that would really irk me whilst playing.

1. He drew his sword and then looked around not knowing where the arrow came from. Would have been safer to run though, you are right!

2. I wanted to see more of the giant but the camera followed the dragon, shame.

Never had that with any game from them, must be your computer?

It affects many many people( some get frameskipping, some get stuttering others micro stutter )

Every single beth game using the gamebyro engine frameskips with three different systems that i've had. Too many system do not like that engine at all, thank f'' for the stutter remover mod :D. If it does the same with Skyrim i'll know exactly what engine it's using :(

so long as:

1) When im quite drunk and feeling like I need something picturesque, I can climb to the top of a mountain, crank the ambient sound effects up and watch a sunset.
2) I can murder sheep.

I will be buying this immediately.

2. The bizarre way that the giant falls through the air on being dropped by the dragon.

.

yeah that concerns me too. the person literally just froze and fell in a very unnatural way.

1) to me looked like he didn't know where the shooter was which is better then immediately knowing and running straight to you.

i don't get why people think graphics aren't that great. to me that look better then oblivion but only good enough that hopefully this means they spent more time on other important areas
