The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

What stamina effect?

Oakflesh is a temporary buff that only works on physical damage.
Lesser Ward is a 'while casting' effect that gives a small armour boost that works on physical damage and a shield against spell damage/effects.

Basically. Oakflesh is something you cast before you start a fight because the armour bonus it gives is almost worthless, even with the Mage Armour perks. Lesser Ward is extremely useful against Dragons since it completely blocks the fire/frost breath, against mages it depends if you're having trouble evading the enemies spells (or they use Lightning which you can't dodge) because its extremely expensive early game, against physical damage don't even bother, its too costly.

Sorry, no idea why I said stamina, I meant the negation of spell damage.

Anyone completed this quest? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Forbidden_Legend

Im in the last boss inside "Gauldur" and have to defeat 3 bosses. i have my wife who is with me helping me out but its proven to be very difficult defeating these 3 bosses. i have got as far as defeating only the 1st one with 2 more to go and my wife keeps dying in the process.

Any tips? im a mage/swordsman. level 26. am i too low of a level?

I found it quite hard too, my follower died a couple of times but my dog survived. I think I was a similar level.

I stood at the back near the door and just potioned up, and focused on the ghost at hand, leaving my followers to kill the Draugr, actually I found the first one hardest and the last one was very easy. Just save between each one, and you should be fine. Using some health absorb enchanted weapons helps a lot in a tough fight

Use the pillars to line of sight some attacks and run loops around the room. I didn't realise this was the actual boss when I did it.
I assumed it was some kind of goofy warm up before the father was resurrected. Did it with no followers as a two handed+bow type of guy.

Just started playing this and I find it really hard to get used to the terrible interface. It seems like with every release, Bethesda try and make a worse and worse PC port.

Also looks like they haven't even bothered creating high res textures for the PC.

Everything you need is in here- http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18340074

If you are using a controller, you will get used to the UI after a while. If not the SKYUI has made some good changes.

There's definitely something wrong with my game. I still haven't seen a dragon. Must be getting on for 25 hours or more now. I went to the sky temple (not as part of the quest, just exploration) and the wiki said a dragon should fly over as you leave. I didn't see it :(

Have you spoken to the Jarl of Whiterun and done the quest for his court mage? That leads to your first dragon fight and they'll spawn randomly after that.

Quick question about enchanting - I want to enchant an ebony greatsword for Lydia. Would 'absorb health' or 'paralyze' be better?

Have you done the first stage of the main quest to kill the first dragon? (Sorry if you've mentioned already, am grim at reading)
