The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I give Lydia plenty...

She is boring the hell out of me tbh. The companion AI is absolutely awful, and sprinting any sort of distance invariably ends up with her getting lost and me having to use the console to move her to me. :/

Got the Mace of Molag Mar or whatever his name is last night. Awesome!

Molag Bal. Yes, that quest was awesome! :D

Thing is, I was trying to avoid killing anyone so I used Voice of the Emperor to calm the dude down. I thought that might resolve the quest peacefully but nevermind!

Love the mace though, wearing lots of fortify 1 handed gear means it dishes out ridiculous damage!

One other thing... where can I find black soul gems and is the Black Star the only gem that can take grand souls?

I've only found a single Black Soul Gem on my lvl36 char. You're probably better off just doing the Black Star quest from Azura. You'll only be able to grab 1 at a time but its better than nothing at all (and there is hardly a lack of random Bandits you can kill).

The one thing that I hate about Lydia is that damn "I am sworn to carry your burdens". Its the exact same thing every time in the same dreary voice and it really gets annoying.

I agree, the repetition of sayings is annoying. It's funny how "I'm sworn to carry your burdens" gets annoying, but we never get sick of "Get out of here, Stalker!".

One that got on my nerves was Eldrin (or something like that): "I hope you've got the coin...". I've got a knife too, so STFU!

I don't remember that one.

However if you spend time in Whiterun this will sound familiar:

Do you make it to the Cloud District often? Oh what am I saying, of course you don't
Sooner or later I'll kill him or demolish/steal/kill everyone in Chillfurrow Farm and hope his social standing plummets, if not, I'll kill him instead.

If they said 'Get out of here Stalker' in the same tone of voice Lydia uses then it would be far more annoying :p

I still don't get that meme. I've only heard the 'arrow in the knee' comment twice in almost 90 hours of gameplay.

Sorry "Get out of here, STALKER" is from STALKER:Shadow of Chernobyl. Every time you walked past a certain NPC(who was always in a building you had to walk through to enter a main area) he would shout that at you.

I heard the arrow in the knee a LOT when I first played the game, but haven't recently. Must be down to a patch or the fact that I've done a LOT more quests since then that the NPCs have a wider choice of dialogue.

Light armour allows sprinting for longer periods before stamina runs out. I wear daedric armour, but because it's weightless due to me having the steed stone active, I presume it gives me the same sprint boost stamina?

Btw, I'm on expert and level 43 and of all the enemies, I find the forsworn to be the toughest so far. Trolls are easy, dragons just take time but are pretty easy, sabre tooths and bears are a breeze just one or two one handed thrusts, and giants are not too hard. But the forsworn, particularly the pillagers and briarhearts can kill me with one swipe. I've beaten them a few times now and they wouldn't be too difficult one to one. But when there's half a dozen of them, some at melee whilst one or two others are firing shock bolts from a distance, it took some doing to survive them and kill them all.

I know where its from ><

But if they said it in the dreary tone of voice Lydia uses for that damn line it would be incredibly annoying.

I thought Steed gave you a +50 carry boost. I came across it last night while doing the intro Imperial mission and decided to replace my Warrior Stone with it and it gave me +100, very handy.

Forsworn are very 'glass cannon'. Most of them seem to dual-wield and dish out some serious damage with a power attack but I wouldn't of thought they were that deadly. I can hold my own against Bandits now on Master at lvl22 so long as I'm not trying to take on loads all at once but creatures will probably still wipe the floor with me.

Steed stone is 'carry weight + 100, and no movement penalty from armour'.

Go up against a forsworn leader and you might have a hard time surviving (particularly on master difficulty) unless you keep him at bay with magic. They're very fast. Faster and more deadly than any regular bandit leaders I've come across who are generally easy peasy to kill. I often use the staff of chain lighting to stun then sprint towards him for some sword swipes. On the other hand, you might be very masterful at combat and find them an absolute breeze, so I don't know. :p

"The Forsworn are a clan of aggressive Bretons terrorizing The Reach in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. They initially appear to be a group of exotic bandits, but further investigation reveals that the Forsworn are actually a remnant of the decades-old ethnic conflict between the local Nords and the indigenous Bretons. Forsworn Pillagers can be especially deadly at close range, as they often dual wield swords or axes and hit hard and fast. Forsworn Briarhearts are the strongest variety but they have a fatal flaw:
successfully pickpocketing one's Briar Heart results in its instant death".

Realistic Water Texture is a must IMO.

Skyrim HD is good but it killed my performance. Check the mods thread mate.

I use the Skyrim HD textures, but use the 'lite' version. I think the lower res versions blend better with the rest of the textures, but still look very crisp, and you don't suffer any performance loss.

Realistic water is another must have IMO.

And Skyboost to improve performance.

I was wondering why I wasn't having much luck finding new quests to do, until I looked at my stats:
