The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Is it just me or is the roof of breezehome the only place where you can see a difference?

Not just you, my friend was also blind about this and couldn't see the difference.

Nonetheless, it's there, even more pronounced in movement. Look at the roofs, walls, even bushes in the distance. Or the top of the gate, that's where it's really noticeable.

I always wonder, if people can't see the difference between AA vs no AA, why do they bother turning it on in the first place...

I notice a lot of Aliasing, did you upload that?

Use a more complex scene, more foliage which generally have more aliasing. Or whomever to upload a more complex scene. :p

It was just a quick outlook from where my last save was, I didn't have the time to do a proper comparison yesterday.

I might actually do FXAA vs SMAA vs 4xMSAA vs No AA today but it takes some time, especially with SMAA not liking any overlays.

As for the performance hit, it's not noticeable. Any FXAA Injectors I've used had at least a few fps drops, up to 10 in some scenes but SMAA doesn't drop by a single frame in most places, and I reckon it wouldn't be more than 1-2 in the more complex scenes.

Some ENB configs implement either FXAA or SMAA now, the latter is much nicer in my opinion, but no ENB comes without fps hit. I think SSAO implementation is what hits the performance the most.

In game FXAA is probably light on the performance side and we all know the performance hit of MSAA (not to mention that it doesn't help with transparent textures).

I asked for a better one.

I want results, damn it!

That was only a reply to a rude post, mate.

Don't worry, I'm just pulling your leg. :p

SSAO is very resource hungry for little change in scenes. Mostly just blended edges of shadows and barely noticeable and you need the samples to be quite high for a true effect. Then your GPU dies.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with. :)

A flying mod! At last :D Still in beta but looks promising! No more clattering around on foot or on horses for me when this is released in full! YEY! Check it out:

Flying Mod (In beta ATM)

You need to forge a Flying Ring first. There are four types - the first ring has no effects when you fly. The remaining three have fire, frost & lightning effects in flight. (You see the fire one at the start of this vid)

Has anyone tried the latest Every city have various guard oufits TS Edition? Many users report problems but my guess is they just don't know how to uninstall mods properly and do a clean save.

Also, can anyone list the most popular mods that change the respawn rate and clean the old cells from dead bodies/unpicked loot? I think it's time to do a little clean up.

I remember Wars in Skyrim had that option and the mod with the ridiculously long name.

How can I? I didnt even enable AA, i cant tell the difference.

But that doesn't mean there isn't one.

Either way, I'll do a more insightful comparison later today, hopefully that will help me decide what method works best for the least performance hit.

I'm already hitting the VRAM limit with all the mods.

Where can I get this?

I am still using varied guards and Stormcloaks, plus better followers, which changes a few guards unifroms.

Also, I tried the Skimpy armour set, I was surprised that it is actually quite good and not OTT at all.

Oh, and I have had to uninstall Script dragon, as it was causing ctds for some reason. I wasn't bothered by much it did anyway tbh.
