Skyrim HD - 2K Textures is a standalone, Bethesda Optimized Textures uses the official DLC as a base, except for 1024x textures which are standalone.

The readme for Skyrim HD says to fire up the launcher and "make sure any files starting with <Skyrim HD> are enabled"

But i dont see these in the data files. (I just copied the contents of Skyrim HD into /data folder). I know they are working because I can see the hi-rez stuff in-game though.

I installed the Beth hi-rez and then over-wrote with Skyrim HD. This (I guess) should cover all bases with SHD overriding the Beth ones.

You should install HD Textures DLC Fix too.

The only time you have to enable data files is when there are other esp files or plugins, or the textures are packed in a BSA format.

Nothing else I should be installing texture wise?

Why did you choose lite environment, out of curiosity?

I found to much of a slowdown with the full package. In open spaces I got about 40-45FPS. Doesn't feel smooth enough for me.

Would there be a massive difference in visual quality between lite and full?

I just tried the FULL 2K Textures landscape pack. To be honest, for the considerable slowdown it gives me I don't notice a massive difference, so I went back to lite and everything is a lot smoother and still looks fantastic.

Have to remember that the lite pack is still 2x better than the official beth DLC.

Having a problem with selling stuff to merchants... Only some of my items show up in the inventory screen when I want to sell stuff (Mainly equiped items). Never had this issue before. :s

I do indeed. The items I'm trying to sell are items I've previously sold to the same merchant. I noticed the items not listed for sale have weird hand icons next to them.

It means they're stolen or the game has flagged them as such. You can only sell stolen goods to certain vendors (thieves guild) or to all vendors after you have the perk to do so.

Ah yes, they are indeed stolen. Makes sense! Guess now would be a good time to start the thieves guild quest line!

Does anyone else notice the initial choppyness when fast travelling to places with a custom texture pack? Just weird it goes normal after a few minutes.

Yes, first few seconds after loading a game, it is a bit laggy for me as I look around for the first time.

These sorts of things happen to pretty much everyone, especially if you are using mods/texture replacers.

I sometimes have to wait about 3 minutes on a loading screen, and often get choppiness hen fast traveling or just walking around a city. It is just a price I don;t mind paying for a better looking game.

Urgh, so I have come accross that bug where the fps is higher than 80 which causes odd sound glitches as though you are stuck between water and the floor.

So having to put vsync back on

Reall don't like vsync, anyone else got any other ideas?
