The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Ah, glad to hear the choppy gameplay at first is normal then.

Agnes, just curious. What was your reason for disabling vsync?

I know this might sound daft, but the sluggish mouse input drives me nuts, the delay between me moving the mouse and the movement on screen bugs me. Know that it's minor, but it's there. Also, tried putting some details in the config file to reduce that. Didn't help.

Frame limiter? Only thought this was done through ATI drivers?

I have just entered Elsweyr. Incredible so far! ...a really nice change of environment

I'll upload some pics to the Nexus soon, and put a few here as well. Blown away by the quality, especially the improvement over the last time I tried it a few months back.

Is that a mod for a new environment? Is their quests there etc?

Yes it is the mod "Moonpath To Elsweyr". Very impressed with it so far.

I think I have a conflict somewhere, as twice now(in 50-odd hours of play mind) I have entered an area where I can see loads of missing meshes on clothes(most noticeable on robes, specifically priests robes) and re-installing CBBE sorts it out fine.

I found I got bad tearing with Vsynch off and huge mouse lag with Vsynch on. Found the perfect solution myself.

Using NV Inspector I set Vsynch on there but set the frame limiter to 58fps.

Result is perfect mouse response and no screen tearing at all

I am really loving Moonpath To Elsweyr!

For anyone who doesn't know about it, it adds a new worldspace of Elsweyr, the Khajit homeland which is a massive change from Skyrim. Lots of Jungle areas to explore and some nice quests. And you can travel back and forth from Skyrim to Elsweyr at will as well.

I haven't played through many of the areas yet, but I have been in Elsweyr for about 6 hours so far and apparently have a lot still to explore, it really does make an excellent change from the Skyrim environments. Performance has been great also, and surprising given that I am adding it to a game with over 100 mods already...there have been no crashes/glitches at all!

The quality is very high ....I would put it right up there with the best quest mods I have ever seen for Beth games(with Lost Spires from Oblivion) Voice acting is excellent too. If you are bored of the Skyrim environment and want a change of scenery, I would greatly recommend this

However....If you don't like spiders, you might want to reconsider!

Dagger is blade of Dibella from(i believe) Jaysus Swords
UI is SkyUI

Many, many graphics mods but the main ones are Realistic Lighting, Skyrim HD, Vurt's Flore Overhaul and WATER, I am not using an ENB. Basically if you install the mods from Krugga's guide it will not be far off in terms of visuals, but Elsweyr does look particularly gorgeous so far.

The Raptors are tough!

Any chance the OP can be updated with hyperlinks please? :D

What mods would you recommend to really make this game shine graphically? Want something that will look so good it will make my all new GTX670 cower :D

OK, so my current mod list, combined with heavily modified ini files (DNA Extreme mostly) and SSAO:

It can and it will, but I have exams all week and taking the time to update the list is not an option right now. :)

ENB configs with SSAO and SSAA. Will easily cripple your fps, if that's what you're after. :p

Outside, I play almost exclusively in third person, only switching for combat sometimes. I play completely first person in Interiors. I change it all the time.

Me too. Outside is 99% 3rd person. And on PC you can move the camera really far behind, you can see way ahead to spot trouble and fighting multiple baddies is easier in 3rd person. If you move the 3rd person cam way way back then it almost feels like youre playing Diablo lol.
