The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Is anyone using the Climates of Tamriel mod?

I really like it, but even with the brightest option for 'Nights' (level 4), it's pretty much pitch black outdoors when there is no light source. I know this is realistic but it makes traveling at night almost impossible.

anyone know how to fix z-fighting? (flickering mountains textures )

i happens with realistic lighting mod. don't want to remove this mod as its the ****!

That is an issue with all games, it may occur or it may not, Skyrim just doesn't happen to try and cover it up, there are solutions, but they are all bandaids really.

It's Skyrim's engine, the Creation (which is basically just a badly butchered version of an already terrible engine 'GameBryo') is incapable of displaying a certain amount of lights on screen at once due to consoles, and it's a part of the engines core and cannot be modded out, you just have to live with it. They aren't flickering as much as they are lighting up and then darkening depending on where the camera is facing, being effected by the other lights the mod places into the environments.

Finally got around to purchasing this little gem and after 8 hours gameplay,

Holy mother of god,

I've played Fallout 3 GOTY and absolutely loved it to bits, But god this game is so much better, Slightly annoyed that i waited this long to buy the game but hey ho,

Going to wait for the 2nd play through until the modding starts happening

Currently up to around Level 8 or 9 playing as an Imperial warrior/mage thing.

You running it from an SSD? :D

Just got the game and am having sound problems, it's way too quiet, i've searched but the fixes i found weren't any good, is there a way to force the game to use stereo, perhaps a setting or mod?

Also as im here i may as well ask what are a few of the best mods i should get, i like to play a fairly clean game, so im mainly looking for a few graphic mods and anything that makes a decent improvement to the game without messing with game play?

Go through this- http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11

Pick and choose as many as you want. It is a very easy to follow guide with links.

Thanks, although i really only want the basics right now to get on and play the game, from past experience it can get a bit too much work messing around with mods and reading up whats best and how to install, whats a few of the best recommended by the forum?

I remember seeing something about enb before which fixed the dull flat look the game has, there appears to be a few now so what should i get, i want reasonably natural but with a nice bit of saturation?

Edit: After playing around with a few enb mods im not sure i like any of them so far, they all seem to over saturate and make lighting and shadow worse, dark areas are too dark, highlights too bright, also the fps hit was a lot more than i expected even after disabling dof etc, whats worse though is for some reason when i sprint fps drops to near zero!

Z-fighting has nothing to do with the flickering lights issue.

I installed the Requiem overhaul the other day and I now 10 hours or so into the game I have developed some sort of negative active effect that is not showing up in the menu. This may be so quest affect that I have not experienced before in my previous playthroughs. Every couple of minutes I fall to the ground with one third damage to health. This is accompanied my a loud booming sound. Is this some sort of gameplay quest feature introduced by Requiem?

Check your Stamina, if you run constantly, it will diminish and i think that may cause that.

Don't know, I don't have it installed.
