The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Look for Opticshooters ICE texture and mesh mod Pig, as the ice in your game looks horrible, and try and use FXAA if the SMAA from the enb hits your fps too much, as its aliased a ton.

Otherwise, looks great and 45-60 fps you can't complain! :)

Nice shots, Pighardia! Is that Armed to the Teeth that you're using to get two main weapons equipped at once (the two-handed sword and the bow)?

Yeah I have been slightly disappointed with Ice tbh, though I do have something changing it. I have tried other ENBs that made it look much better, but the performance impact was too much. I am happy with the FPS I get now tbh.

No, it is just the ini change that shows all of the weapons that you have Favourited(is that a word?).

Just add this to your Skyrim ini under General- bDisableGearedUp=0

I've got some Skyrim with mods vids in 720p on my utube channel (sig). If anyone is curious I'd be happy to answer.

There's a fog (supreme fog) one in there I haven't got round to recording yet, but it basically makes the in game fog weather extremely dense and really adds to the atmosphere.

It is nice to play the game without worrying about possible crashes!...been playing for 45 hours now without a single crash. The benefits of not removing or adding any mods after starting a new game!....Don't know what I will do when dragonborn is released!

edit- I meant to edit previous post, but quoted by mistake...

I ditched that pineapple enb mod, even with a GTX480 clocked to 900/2000 I was only getting around 25fps :O at 1080P :(

Think i'm done with the graphical mods tbh now, vram usage is almost always hovering around the 1500mb mark. shame they didn't make any 2Gb GTX 480s lol

I can top out 1.5gb at 720p with mods / ugridstoload = 7.

I've seen somewhere tho that at 1080p it tops 2gb.

anyone got mods and extreme settings on 1440p? Fancy a catleap when I have spare dosh..

Really? what vram usage are you seeing?

I had over 2GB with the FULL version of 2k textures, around 1700MB with them at 2048px. May be worth noting that dropping shadows from Ultra to High though seemed to free up around 200MB.

That was at 1440x900 too, It would most likely be a lot more at 1920x1200.

Could do with some Skyrim advice guys :p

I've got to Whiterum and that's all good - spoke to the king etc. Then I went to Solitude because I fancied joining the Imperial Army, but while I was there I ran into Jaree-Ra who asked me to turn off the lighthouse to wreck a ship and loot it. I've done that - and other spoilery-things happen :p I've got the point where:

I have to kill him (because he betrayed me)

It's this quest:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Lights_Out!

However, I'm only level 4 and there is a Captain in there who is practically able to kill me in one hit :p

So I have a couple of questions...

Level 4 is very low I imagine (Not sure how high the levels go?), I think the quest probably is a little over my level - Is there a mod that will highlight my quests based on my level (Like in WoW)?

Also - Any tips to level quicker? I'm sure you'll probably say 'just keep doing quests', but this is really my first main quest I've done and it's already too hard :p

Hey Marky

That isn't a main line quest, it's a side quest mate, You might be better off going back to High Hrothgar to speak with the greybeards to draw out the main quest and level up faster that way. Get on with developing your Thu'um first and start branching out around level 10-15 :)

@Marky.

I'd do a benny hill and run circles around him whilst shooting a bow or finding somewhere where he cant get at you. There's always usually ways of exploiting the stupid ai.

I'm guessing a few mods will need to be updated/patched or whatever. Not really going to know until its released.

I'm going to wait for a week or so before getting it. Just got Skyrim running smoothly with everything, don't want to break it now:)
