The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

I've returned to the game and, of course, the mods are all screwy. Deciding to start again, I've deactivated all the mods but I'm still having an issue with the graphics being fuzzy:

(There are still a few mods installed in the screenshot, but the fuzzy armour is the same now I've stripped it back.)

Any solutions?

Thanks guys. I've tried the first two (don't know how to do the third) - with no effect so am trying a fresh install.

So here's a weird bug I ran into playing earlier...

I was riding down the road on Frost, my trusty steed, when I catch sight of another horse by the side of the road out of the corner of my eye... As I get closer I realise something weird

The other horse looks exactly like Frost! It's in a spot where I'm sure I fought a dragon earlier in the game. I dismount and take a look

"Frost" doesn't come up as the name of the horse, just "Horse", and when I look in its inventory I find - a carbon copy of what the "real" Frost has!!

I'm going to ignore it, as I don't really need the extra items or whatever, but has anyone else come across this?

I haven't seen that, but I have been getting some flying animals that shouldn't be flying... Like mammoths and the like...

The .ini files are in \My Documents\My Games\Skyrim.

You can just rename or move them, then the next time Skyrim loads it will create new default .ini files. If the default ones don't help, you can delete them and put your old ones back.

Archive invalidation?

It didn't do anything sadly, but thank anyway.

I deleted all local content via Steam and reinstalled from the disk. With all mods/plugins disabled the game reloads a savegame and the graphical problem is exactly the same.

Verifying the cache says 1 file needs to be redownloaded but then nothing happens. :(

Did you delete the Skyrim folder in \Steam\SteamApps\common\ after deleting local content in Steam?

Thanks for the help guys. I managed to stumble accidentally across a fix using the ATi Catalyst centre thing. It was actually while looking into a World of Tanks graphical problem and it seems to have fixed both games! Now I can't start breaking it all again afresh with some modding :)

Thanks.

Mods I add to Skyrim aren't working in game. I've tried adding them with Nexus and the Steam Workshop. The sync when I open the game launcher though

Anybody know whats up?

Don't use steam workshop.

Probably load order conflicts among other things.

Get Mod Organiser (or NMM if you're happier with a less sophisticated mod manager) and LOOT - download and install everything through Mod Organiser, let LOOT set the load order.

Thanks a lot, it works with Mod Organizer :D

You set it up that quickly?

Make sure to be running LOOT through mod organiser to sort the load order, then also running skyrim through mod organiser.

If you need SKSE, wrye bash or TES5Edit then install that manually and launch it through mod organiser as well.

Basically everything has to launch through mod organiser.
