The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Think I might start playing again. Just 2 questions-

Is COT still top-dog?
Do you still need to do the tweak that lets you use more memory?(can't remember specifics)

I'm about to start a Mage class to start playing again, I'm probably going to forget the main quest as I can't be bothered!

Guess you can use Midas magic, but I find magic can become quite OP very quickly if used properly.
 
Because of that **** LOOT I've now got Water that keeps flicking between two different textures when I move!

If it works, leave it alone, I never learn

I'm just getting familiar with Mod Organizer for the first time. Does it have the equivalent of a bashed patch, or do you still need wrye bash?
 
You guys probally already know about this enchantment but I just found out today when I was doing a Radiant Quest from High Hrothgar, The Words of Power. It sent me to Ironbind Barrow and one of the item in there is the Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls - If target dies within 5 seconds, fills a soul gem. Burns the target for 10 points. Targets on fire take extra damage.

This enchantment can be learned and after I done that I wanted to check what it gave me on a Bow.

The bow I am using have a double enchantment:
If target dies within 2 seconds, fills a soul gem. 50% chance for each element of fire, frost, and shock to do 10 points of damage
Gives me 697 charges on the bow. Which I thought was decent... until I checked what the Fiery Soul Trap enchantment would give me...

So making the enchantment with 2 sec for Soul Trap and burn the target for 10 points - would give me 2,717 charges ! :eek::eek:

I think I be making myself a new Bow soon. :p :D

No clue about the bashed patch part but for Mod Orginizer, if you not already found a good guide for it, have a lok at Gopher's YouTube guide for Mod Orginizer. I know it looks like an aweful lot to watch but for me personally it helped me out a lot to learn how to use Mod Orginizer. Hope it helps you as well. =)
 
Yeah thanks. I have got to grips with Mod Organizer now. Have to say I am very impressed with it.

Only problem I am having is with the Skyproc patcher running out of memory. Trying to fix it now.

CoT was terrible imo, the super bright grass from the customized overcast daytime weather thingys were horrible (grass still acted like it was bright sunshine when the mod made it dull).
 
has anyone ever got joy of perspective mod and horses working?

the horse camera just goes straight to the ground lvl and its impossible to use a horse.
 
Great thread, slowly making my way through it.

Have several of these mods, not sure I'm running things in the right order! Will see about getting a list together as I'd love to have ultra realistic settings running as smoothly as I can.

Will post some screens if and when I get my act together. Here's hoping my spec is up to the job!
 
Damn it, I've got Skyrim issues :(

It looks beautiful and is super smooth at 60fps when going forward or backward. However on occasion when I do a 360 turn it either freezes then unfreezes or stutters horribly!

The Witcher 3, Battlefield 4, Insurgency all running perfectly
