The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Fixed it :D:D:D:D

I remember when I first installed the Bethesda texture expansion and I was getting crazy stuttering and freeze ups, but when removed and installing any other texture mods it was perfectly smooth. So I looked through my MOD list and clicked on any of the comments in each of the texture packs and came to this

I tried the standalone Vivid Landscapes "Rocking Stones and Mountains Two", but that dropped me from 60+ fps to.........3 FPS. /shrug

Uninstalled Vivid Landscapes - All in One and everything is working perfectly again! Frame rates/VRAM was not an issue before or after mod :o

New tweak added for 8gb memory and above

I've been keeping an eye on it looks promising but conflicts with lots of stuff i.e. JK's Whiterun, ETaC, etc. Theres rumours of patches being made etc.

There's a really massive list of tweaks and changes on the mod page. The mod is a work in progress, and there are some more changes on the way. I've played with it a bit, and a lot the changes are very subtle, but I have witnessed some of this enhanced behavior and it does make a difference.

Something thats been bugging me for longer than I care to remember, NPC's lose their collision data after they've died, being able to walk right through corpses as if they weren't there is not realistic at all.

This fixes that: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mod.../ajax/moddescription/?id=30947&preview=&pUp=1 There may be some issues with NPC's sometimes not being able to route around dragon corpses if they die in cities is about the only issue with it I can think of. :)

Damn it, I've got Skyrim issues :(

It looks beautiful and is super smooth at 60fps when going forward or backward. However on occasion when I do a 360 turn it either freezes then unfreezes or stutters horribly!

The Witcher 3, Battlefield 4, Insurgency all running perfectly

Sounds like a VRAM issue buddy, almost like it's full and not being able to get the data put through fast enough :(

I've been trying to get this to run smoothly at 3440x1440 with two 980 Tis.

Finding the correct combination of mods/tweaks is proving extremely difficult. Maintaing 60 FPS with texture packs/overhauls alone seems impossible.

The 3.1 GB limit is also a joke and I had to disable a couple of things just to stay within it as I was getting random stutter. This was following RealVision ENB's guide on their Nexus page.

I'll try this guide from scratch later today.
