Thanks, i must check what settings i am using, and then use fraps.

I read your post on the previous page about the best mods, i will just pick a few first and try them out.
 
Similar spec to me and I have no problems with fps and have a fair few mods on now.

For a start you could get the 2K texture pack, I'd go for the lite version as its recommended to have 2gb video ram for the full sized texture version. The lite version looks great to me anyway.

I also quite like the Serious HD Retexture Landscape Skyrim mod. But I had to install this after the 2k pack and overwrite the files to replace the 2k textures.

Then the flora overhaul combined with the lush trees and grass mod and it should look pretty decent.

I've not used skse as it always crashes to desktop on loading.

But that was the case with the first 4GB patch with which came the problem of not being awarded any steam achievements. May be worth finding out.

yea i have.

i also deleted the voices.bsa and re downloaded it ( which was very annoying as it kept on suspending itself!! i hate steam sometimes!) it now says its still updating even thought its downloaded the right amount of mb, ad also the game is not available now i hope this doesnt kill my game as ive put a lot of hours in to it

feeling a bit better now, did a reinstall and it still didnt work! tried a new game and the npc's were talking again, turned out to be somthing in the ini files, i get to keep my char!!!
 
I installed the High Resolution Texture Pack DLC thing last night, deactivated all my installed mods first.

Some textures look a lot better than the default but i was wondering ...are people still using mods like the HD 2K Textures, Flora Overhaul and the Serious Landscape Retexture?

Do they look a lot better than this DLC and do they run along side it?

I'm not going to use the BETH texture pack at all, there are plenty of higher grade texture packs than what Beth released. I'm using Landscape Redux for example
 
Better Landscape Skyrim has decent landscape textures but Skyrim HD - 2K Textures has more detailed ones and includes textures for a number of other things.

It's the closest you've got to all-in-one pack at the moment.
 
I am literally begging for someone to make a mod that changes the colour of a dungeon marker when cleared.

So for example, a discovered but uncleared area is blue and a discovered and cleared area is green.

Can anybody tell me how this would be done, or whether its even possible?

I read that the dungeons repopulate after a certain amount of time in game iirc. There could be a mod which allows multiple markers which you could place yourself once you'd cleared the dungeon.
