The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

Looks nice ^^

Whiterun looks very bare without any trees. I went for the mod with deciduous trees.

Its actually called "Whiterun Trees"

Add it with "Realistic Lighting" mod and it looks amazing!

Yep thats the one. Got it from Steam Workshop.

I haven't tried realistic lighting but doesn't that just make the nights darker? Looked a bit too dark from what I have seen.

Its darker than vanilla, thought he was just expressing that. Looks lighter than some of the screenshots my friend sent when he had the mod on.

Personally I prefer vanilla lighting. With the size of the moon in Skyrim, you'd expect it to be pretty bright at night, so i'd say vanilla was more realistic :p.

Is that supposed to be a joke that I don't get?

No joke intended?

To each his own, although you do make a good point. :D

Theres two moons so it should be extra bright at night. :p

Will there be a texture pack by NMC?

Just been playing NewVegas with their texture pack and tbh the Serious HD landscapes mod for Skyrim looks much better imo. It will be interesting to see how theirs compares with the 2k and serious landscape mods, if they make one.

Has anyone tried this- Cinematic Lighting ENB?

I really didn't get on with Realistic Lighting and have gone back to a very old FXAA injector, which is great but I am starting to think it looks just a little bit flat compared to a few others.

Caused immense flickering for me but I think was due to crossfire. However with a single card that's anything less than a 2gb 6950 I think you'll struggle.

That lighting mod looks great but I'm not even going to try it on my PC :D.

I think thats going to have to be my next purchase, a 2gb gfx card. My 1gb GTX280 is starting to struggle a bit now.

Would be amazing if skyrim had the sort of lighting and shadows you get in Alan Wake. I guess we'll have to wait for the next game in the series that is made for the next gen consoles.
