That won't happen again though because the Crazy Glazer & Fergie will be spending oodles this year on some new players again.
But that's ok because the Glazers are in it for the love of the game & not just to make money out of another franchise & Man.U. are allowed to waste as much free money as they like on average players because they've earned that right

The only difference between RA buying players & the Glazers buying players is that RA does it because he enjoys it, whereas the Glazers are doing it to make money. The rules are the same, the objectives are different. No-one complained about the Wigan chairman spending what he could.

Its the same as Real Madrid were, when you dont have to account for a penny you can buy who you want, for what ever you want, and have a squad, and Wages bill as high as you like.

If there was even a token interest shown by club managment about the money Chelsea losses each year, it would be a start.

Yeah to be fair, it's not like Chelsea are just going to continue to throw the money away in the massive way they did when RA first moved into town. They're restructuring and making plans to actually eventually turn over a profit and sort themselves out, rather than continuing to haemmorage money while they stay bankrolled ala Real Madrid. Chelsea aren't doing much that different from any other big club, except that they happened to spend all their money in one go, instead of over a period of years as its available.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong. Personally, whether or not it's 'fair' doesn't come in to it for me. Chelsea have a lot of money and are winning, so that makes them the team for Arsenal to beat. Current lack of prem form aside, obviously.

Newcastle were great yesterday , first time we have won this season after going a goal down.
I think the last time we won after conceeding was feburary last year - Heerenveen away.
Superb win and two goals for the lion with Nobby getting my man of the match - bring on the mackems.

The offside rule isn't bad, it's the stupid officials who can't understand when someone is active or not. Cisse, standing where the ball was, and looking to kick it was quite clearly active and should have been offside as you say

I think it just creates unnecessary confusion. Graham Poll suggested getting rid of offsides altogether!

Totally agree, but from a 'pool supporters pov, not really complaining. We have had goals taken off us that should have counted so these things even themselves out
