The England Cricket Thread

Piece in the Telegraph yesterday that reckoned he was no longer in England's best Test side. A take that has aged like a fine milk :D
Haha love the way him and Anderson just keep going! They'll likely have some fun over the summer especially Broad against Warner if the aussies are stupid enough to pick him (hope this doesn't come back to bite me)..

Another incredible win built on some quick batting and the declaration. Wonder how long it'll be until other nations start to adjust to this new way of thinking. Now to attempt to get 2nd or 3rd day tickets to one of the ashes tests.

Anderson gets better with age. Just imagine how good Jimmy Anderson is going to be when he's 50! It was funny watching him dish out the receipts to Wagner, he's not normally the aggressive type.

I'm just getting the fact that TMS aren't covering the series.

When will sport at the route level realise that the best way of encouraging grass roots is to make it easy to watch (or even listen to).

Usually if it's not on TMS Talksport have the rights I think.

I'm with Starc on this one. I'm not going to pretend it was normal conditions for the last Ashes but I'd have more respect for Broad if he just said "it was a poor tour and Australia outclassed us, but we've now under new management, new style of cricket, buzzing to get started". Just saying you don't count it as the real Ashes is schoolboy stuff like getting bowled and saying "oh that doesn't count I wasn't ready".

If England had beaten Australia 4-0, would he be referring to it as a "void series"? I don't think so.

He's just trying to wind them up man. The Aussies are generally a friendly bunch at sporting events, if a little humourless, but they absolutely hate Broad. Fans and players.

Yeah you could be right but he's winding me up as well, there's just something about him I don't like. Anyway I'm glad he's wound up the fastest test bowler of all time :)
