It certainly won't properly acknowledge democratically elected governments if they are not to their liking!
Is that a reference to the many times debunked Dutch referendum?

With a God Emperor who rules over all of humanity and has elite genetically modified superhuman soldiers to watch over the imperium?
As much as Cameron has been a disaster for Remain, Brown will take that to new levels of numpty.
Any comment on the leaked diplomatic cables and Turkey?

Farage???? Isn't Farage in GO not Leave.EU?
In what way does EU not respect individual nations' culture, laws and history then, scorza?
So when the Greeks voted against austerity that was respected and no laws were imposed on them. Must be reading different papers to me.
I don't know TBH. Brown is quite a skilled orator.
Reform was never going to happen at the last minute to try and give political capital to avoid a split in the conservative party.
A half arsed attempt doesn't mean reform isn't possible.

You do realise that is just for tourists visa don't you?
Did you hear him on Today, on Radio 4 this morning? Eurgh.
Standards are going global anyway, if you produce a credit card it has to be to ISO standards, as does a lot of stuff as per here. And where is the ISO organization based.....Switzerland![]()
The Greeks wanted concessions that weren't realistic. Like any community, you can't do anything you want that affects others without consequences. You can't continue to have a huge public sector and expect other nations to pay for it.
But which standard is chosen is often important to EU businesses. GSM was chosen as the European standard for mobile networks long before it was accepted as the global standard. European technology firms had incredible input into it because Europe standardised early. Firms like Nokia and Ericsson still make hundreds of millions of Euros in revenue because they hold key patents used in the standard and its descendants.
So when the Greeks voted against austerity that was respected
That isn't the point, do you think the way EU treated Greece was respectful of its "history, culture and laws"?
Scorza's question tried to imply the EU would never disrespect the wishes of the people of a country, that clearly isn't true and Greece isn't the only case of this happening.
