Not listened but EU law expert no doubt bank rolled through his University by the EU?

This whole refusal to actually assess evidence and make a proper informed decision is really depressing. This is the future of our country at stake, either way, and we should be making the best decision we can, not dismissing useful information with weak ad hominem attacks.

Absolutely this. I have the most faith in what the professor said precisely because I think he let the facts speak for themselves.

I still maintain this whole brouhaha about In or Out is transitory as the EU is in terminal decline and in the medium term it will cease to exist, either at all, or in any recognisable format to what we see today. It's disintegration will be be messy, argumentative and costly, and as such best viewed from the stalls during which period we can be making long term future strategies, rather than in fighting for "our corner" within the flailing, dying beast.

I am still awaiting a reply from those who repeatedly state that Germany will not give citizenship to the hundreds of thousands of migrants who are there or on their way there. These people say they will not get full German citizenship and EU citizenship, but will instead retain the status of "Refugees" whatever that may infer.

My question is what about their children? What will their status be? And will these migrants have the right to bring across "family members" to join them? What will *THEIR* status be?

If I am to take the status of these migrants to remain as "refugees" what precedence is there to their ongoing rights and those of their progeny, from the German and EU perspective?

Why do you believe this?

Because the Union will fall apart under differing actions and opposition taken on migrants and their funding. There will also be further fall out over other member countries in dire economic straits, like Greece, requiring bail outs. As other countries adopt a more right wing government their attitude (refusing to acknowledge them), as with Poland and others, will make the cohesion of the Union untenable. The final nail in the coffin will probably be Turkey, whom Cameron refused to address THREE TIMES on live public TV last night when asked if, should we remain the EU, he would veto joining.

Lol at when he highlights how Brexit the Movie said there were 109 EU laws on pillows... but then his show researched those 109 laws and most had nothing to do with pillows (the Brexit researchers probably just did a simple word search for 'pillow' so came up with loads of stuff unrelated to bedding pillows)... more lies, or plain stupidity, from them :(.

To be pedantic, I think he only researched the ones shown on screen, which is about eight of them. But, of course, Brexit: The Movie has made no attempt to be public about its research so it's impossible to verify.

Couldn't agree more, funny that you think the opposite. However, it's important to take into consideration vested interests. Like I've said, I've not watched the video but simply because someone is an academic and has professor in their title doesn't somehow make them above all of this. Indeed the future of our country is at stake and probably more so than many realise, on the current trajectory there won't be much of it in 50 years time.

don't know how to link it but interesting video on facebook. if you go to the university of Liverpool facebook page you'll see it.

One of the UK’s leading EU law experts criticizes the referendum debate’s “dishonesty on an industrial scale”, as he considers the claims and counter claims from each side.
University of Liverpool Law School’s Professor Michael Dougan has spent his career studying EU law as it relates to the UK; contributing to Parliamentary Select Committees, advising government and now helping media fact check the barrage of assertions emanating from the Remain and Leave camps, in the run up to June 23.
