Nissan is going to sue Vote.Leave for misleadingly using their logo in their campaign literature:

On one "Vote Leave" flyer, the firm's logo appeared next to those of four other major companies including Unilever and fellow carmaker Vauxhall with the message: "Major employers ... have all said they'll stay in the UK whatever the result of the referendum."

Nissan, which says it would prefer Britain to remain in the EU, said it would be issuing legal proceedings on Monday in Britain's High Court to stop 'Vote Leave' from using its name and logo and to "prevent them making any further false statements and misrepresentations concerning Nissan."

This comes after Unilever, Airbus and GE accuse Leave campaign of using their names for ‘propaganda’ with Unilever saying:

“The use of our company name and trademark in this way is a clear attempt to mislead the British people. Unilever does not support Vote Leave and does not advocate leaving the European Union, and never has. We believe that for jobs and investment the United Kingdom is far better off remaining a member of the EU.”

Haha. Just need NHS to do similar after Leave used NHS logo on leaflets they then distributed in some hospitals claiming that 350m could be spent on NHS.

even if we could draw it out, how does that help. markets still know we are leaving and so uncertainty still exists,
As long we maintain trade agreemants it's not going to benefit us from the perspective of getting new agreemants but it's going to help with keeping away tarriffs and barries and whatnot that will at least prevent the economic damage from being quite as big. Quite clear really, those tarriffs we keep hearing are such a disaster would be held back or are those tarriffs not a worry any more  Uncertainty will prevent new business but it's to make sure we don't make a hash on existing businesses that have little intent to move.

you were talking about uncertainty, that would still exist and thus damage the economy.
that's if you can even drag it out and I'm not sure you can. it states you have 2 years to finalise the divorce.

That was for elderly Classic vehicles, already some EU countries like Germany and some Scandinavian countries have stringent regulations on modifying modern cars for better handling or performance. The EU are just longing to bring in legislation.

That we'd never sign up to.

The EU have legislation for S Class ebikes, legislation we have decided not to implement. It's no different.

Being in the EU doesn't automatically mean we have to adopt every piece of legislation it passes you know.......

can we even extend it as the wording doesn't sound like we can. everything ive seen is we have two years to finalise a divorce.

The text of Article 50 states:

1. Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.

2. A Member State which decides to withdraw shall notify the European Council of its intention. In the light of the guidelines provided by the European Council, the Union shall negotiate and conclude an agreement with that State, setting out the arrangements for its withdrawal, taking account of the framework for its future relationship with the Union. That agreement shall be negotiated in accordance with Article 218(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. It shall be concluded on behalf of the Union by the Council, acting by a qualified majority, after obtaining the consent of the European Parliament.

3. The Treaties shall cease to apply to the State in question from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement or, failing that, two years after the notification referred to in paragraph 2, unless the European Council, in agreement with the Member State concerned, unanimously decides to extend this period.

4. For the purposes of paragraphs 2 and 3, the member of the European Council or of the Council representing the withdrawing Member State shall not participate in the discussions of the European Council or Council or in decisions concerning it.

A qualified majority shall be defined in accordance with Article 238(3)(b) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

5. If a State which has withdrawn from the Union asks to rejoin, its request shall be subject to the procedure referred to in Article 49.

Why would leaving the EU help NHS?

Considering the high amount of migrants which are mostly fit and healthy and are of working age, they would pay their way more than most. Their education bill has been taken care of by their native country and their elderly (which are the largest expense) too are over the pond.

Really, these migrants are paying for those that need it most.

Far less money goes to paying a migrant before he starts getting taxed for his work.

All over bar the shouting the post Jo Cox murder bounce has done it for Remain and they have it in the bag.

I really don't think they have, there is now a backlash towards the remain campaign because of how they are using the Jo Cox murder to influence people.

People will come to their senses on the day and vote leave.

All over bar the shouting the post Jo Cox murder bounce has done it for Remain and they have it in the bag.

I think that even were that to be the case, the campaign has lit a fuse. The rush to 'ever closer political and economic union' is wounded and perhaps fatally so in other parts of Europe.

Still both campaigns have to mobilise their vote on the day and the most committed will win it.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's in the bag, if it is, it won't be by much.

I do think however that it has clearly given the Remian side a positive swing. That having been said anything can happen between now and Thursday, especialy when you look back at some of the claims that have been made by both sides during the campaign.

We did the polls all wrong.

There should have been a weekly poll on who said the stupidest thing, since there are so many ridiculous claims being thrown out by the figureheads of both sides.

So this guy appears to talk a lot of sense. Watching this has probably turned me from leave to remain. I'm aware he has a bias and he states as much from the outset. I'm also aware that he receives EU funding but does that mean I should just ignore what he is saying?

I am amazed that watching the video can make anyone swap sides so easily. I really don't understand why people haven't got faith in themselves and in the British people that we can succeed outside the EU. Voting leave is the long term solution, voting to remain is the short term solution and we will pay dearly for it.
