A slide to Remain was always going to happen, the don't knows at this stage will undoubtedly vote for the status quo. It was inevitable.

certainly with all the hysteria from both sides, the more level headed messages have been lost to the mix. A video with a refreshing, non doomsday tone can certainly swap a person as well as dredge up the more reasonable points, previously lost to the sea of proclamation of world war 3 and invasion of 77 million immigrants.

So all his points are moot and worthless because he gets funding?

or are you just expressing lack of surprise?

I'm suggesting his view is biased, intentionally or not, because of the funding he receives.

If you want an independent viewpoint you can't get it from someone who is paid by the people they are reporting on. Seems quite obvious to me.

I await the huge pile of **** the EU are going to dump on the UK over the coming months as their way of getting their own back for even thinking about leaving...

Seems like an independent viewpoint can be had by anyone effected by being in or out of Europe then. You can however take his words and judge for yourself what weight they hold, like we do with the words of everyone else.

I would like to know why the leave campaign decided to make false statements that could well effect those employed by large foreign companies such as Nissan.

It is one thing to hint but another to outright lie and tell people that their job will be secure, especially after firms have suggested that for the sake of their foreign investment they would take the opposite stance.

You could accuse either side of bias though really. Most people having leanings one way or the other and therefore seek out things to validate their view. This thread is full of that on both sides.

You're certainly not alone!

Not only will it be a large pile of new ****, but also the Cameron Reforms that he thinks he got and got such a GREAT deal on.

So you're not open to changing your opinion if you get more information to come to a more reasoned decision?

I had already made my mind up before all of the propaganda started so I had already made my reasoned decision by watching what has been happening to this country for the last 10 years. No so called expert can change my mind now.

I agree it is hard to find an independent outlet for impartial advice. It is a shame the Government is so hell bent on keeping us in as I feel they should have actually given us the FACTS, not distorted to suit their own viewpoint but the actual facts so people could make up their own minds with a reasonable amount of information - Instead, they've hoodwinked and conned people since the start of the campaign.

Whilst I agree that you need to be very careful to understand where funding comes from to guard against bias, you can't write it off purely for that reason.

There is also the point that the people most likely to understand how the EU works, are people who are involved with it and some sort of funding is likely at some point there.

I ask again, what happens to VAT paid and payable to and from current EU states if we leave the EU?

I'll leave it 12 hours before asking YET AGAIN what status the children "refugees" in Germany will acquire, after their birth, I am left with the statement that most of the parents will remain "refugees" with no chance of becoming EU citizens. Zero information as to how long for, given their sheer number, and what their children will be, status wise....

Even if your original information wasn't the whole picture or is flawed in some way?

Probably already noted in the thread but the Guardian's (of all places) Finance editor has come out in favour of BREXIT:

https://www.theguardian.com/money/blog/2016/jun/18/eu-vote-brexit-working-people-rents-wages
I was reading the guardian and noticed the wave of pro EU articles, several of them as if they were forced out to meet a worried dead line. Then I looked at the comments and realised all the most highly rated suggested no one was buying it :p Same with every news site I find to be honest, including BBC news and others. Starting to wonder if there is going to be an out vote succeeding.

Keep begging tusk :D
