Presumably now someone who you agree with has made the same point it's valid enough for your worship to consider now?

Astonishingly, I can follow links.

Contrary to what you're claiming the figures aren't the "real" immigration figures, they're a different data set from which immigration figures might be deduced.

Angela Merkel: "Treaty change might be possible. Not now, but perhaps later." "Perhaps later" - usually said by mothers or wives when they mean no, never. DC would have been much more likely to get the result he wanted if he held the referendum last term without these negotiations.

So there shouldn't be any issue in releasing that data then right?

Curiously, the decisions of the HMRC on whether to spend their time replying to FOI requests aren't based on your presumptions about what they might reveal.

We're being hoodwinked because if the real immigration figures and current population level of the UK came out there'd be panic.

Current official population is 64m
http://www.worldometers.info/world-population/uk-population/

But an estimate from supermarket companies that monitor the amount of food the population consumes is more like 77m

Tesco estimate UK population at 77 million
'Based on what we eat, one big supermarket chain reckons there are 80 million people living in the UK. The demand for food is a reliable indicator; as Sir Richard Branson says, you can have all the money in the world but you can only eat onelunch and one dinner.

The Independent newspaper that published the figures have pulled the story due to, in my opinion, it's inflammatory nature

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/b...population-is-at-least-77-million-395428.html

But here's a couple more links:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/a...on-77-million-Britain-It-feels-like-full.html

http://www.express.co.uk/comment/co...solve-immigration-crisis-that-blights-Britain

We're already full, it's causing problems, and we're getting fuller, thanks to the libertards that think we have infinite space and resources

How much of that is food waste? How much of that takes into account visitors to the UK? How much of that is over eating? We are a rather fat country now days.

As a country with border controls we should know exactly how many people are in the country at any one time?

Still voting no.

Simply down to the free movement of people and that the conservatives generally want to keep us in. Which means there is something dodgy going on with all there high rolling chums.

Doesn't surprise me at all if the 'stay in' crowd is larger, people are usually apathetic to change, human nature.

Think we should leave though, lot of scare mongering going on about leaving but I feel we would have a self governed country that was able to adapt and tailor itself quicker and better according to our needs.

If anything, it certainly has proven it on this website. Look what happened with lack of start button and website revamp.

France and Italy both pay more than the UK, and Germany pays more than anyone else.

That makes Germany the cash cow, not the UK.

By % of GNI, the UK pays in less than anyone else. Our contribution is only large because we're one of the three biggest countries in the EU.

And yet a vote to stay in is not a vote for no change, oddly enough. Since the EU project is about furthering integration into an EU superstate.

You do wonder if enough people realise this.
