Kurt Geiger

I find Zara do some nice shirts, that tend to be quite nice fitting and stylish. But depends what you're using them for. If it's smarter work shirts then maybe try Charles Tyrwhitt or T. M. Lewin?

Thanks!

Those Kurt Geiger shoes aren't exactly cheap. This is what I found before though, I couldn't find anywhere that had shoes that I liked for much less that £100. That is just for normal shoes too!

Am I the only one that finds this? I don't mind spending money but on some shoes that I'm going to wear everyday it feels like quite a lot to spend.

Having said that I did find some on there for £55 which is more like it! Might have to purchase them.

If you're going to be wearing them everyday, doesn't it make sense to spend more and get a quality pair? Value for money and all that.

I suppose, but at this rate I wouldn't get much change from £400 for three pairs of shoes. :o They're probably all made for about 50p in Indonesia!

Either really, although I prefer to stick to plain and white with my blue suit.

I was advised not to over complicate clothes when you're beautiful as it attracts the eyes away from your face ;) :p

Yeah sounds good. I'm also having trouble choosing my shirt size.. I know I'm a 15.5" collar but I'm pretty sure most of my shirts are a 36" sleeve. But these sizes seem to be scarce together on a lot of shirts. And seem to be pointed at "larger" men. I wouldn't consider myself to be that much bigger than most. I measured myself and I got a 34.5" roughly. So I don't really know :/ All the shirts I buy just get classed as Medium anyway.

Just discovered this thread - maybe it's my age and I'm having a mid-life crisis of some kind, but I've started to like the classic English 'chap' look so I've picked up a couple of tweed jackets and vintage suits along with Trilby hats, pocket squares etc.

It's nice to go out and be one of the few these days not wearing jeans and sportswear.

Just picked up a Houndstooth tweed 3 pocket hacking jacket tailored at Harrods..

looks like this!

And some brown brogue boots to replace my worn out loakes

Hmm I just read this, I admit Im just not into "big brands" and will never give those people my money but I do agree on dressing smart.

Lets face it - the gals make a huge effort when they go out but us lot (not ALL of us I know) dont bother that much. I know Im like that but recently Ive begun to realize what a difference taking some trouble to look good can have. It makes YOU feel good, sounds cheesy but its true. And yea...it can help with pulling Im sure of it.

From a female POV seein a dude who takes the trouble to look good...well cant hurt can it :p

Not a huge fan of TMLewis shirts tbh, the ones I bought a few months ago crease really easily and are made of pretty thin material. The premium shirts they do may be a bit nicer material though. Hawes and Curtis shirts look very nice however but they don't fit me. I'm slim and the slim fit shirts are still too baggy so eded up getting some more CK shirts from Moss Bros. Better quality than TMLewis and a much better fit IMO (and are truly non iron).

I can recommend Charles Tyrwhitt (4 for £100 at the moment) slim fit non-iron shirts for work and 'smart casual' (single cuff with buttons unless you're a banker, salesman, or CFO please :p).

Black label are also nice if you can pull them off physique wise. Those with moobs and a gut need not apply.

I had a glance at Charles Tyrwhitt the other day but their designed were rather old person.. :p I didn't try any shirts on to see about the sizing though. I wear my sleeves rolled up anyway but if I didn't to conform in my office it would have to be cufflinks...:p

Black label? Are they a brand or a fit by Charles Trywhitt? I'll have a look and see what they are like as I like tighter fits.

EDIT: Ah, found them... They don't look too bad actually... Just a shame I bought 3 shirts yesterday or I would have tried them on!
