I personally hate skin tight trousers like that. But if you like it - go for it.

The top half looks okay.

Top half doesn't look much better if you ask me. Look at the sleeves, far too short.

Funnily enough all this talk of slim fitting stuff is the reason I'm posting. At the moment I'm really struggling to find either shirts or trousers for work which don't have the cursed 'slim fit' style. Living in the middle of nowhere means that my usual haunts are either TK Maxx (shop and online) or Next shop in Dundee (online stuff still registered at my old address and can't change that unless i phone them!!!! how backwards)

Any other places i should be trying for regular fit clothing? 16.5inch collar and 36L trousers are what I'm looking for.

Cheers :)

Slim fit stuff is fine if you are actually slim and in proportion, then it is very flattering with no excess bagginess. If you aren't, then it just look s daft.

Slim fit is fine if you're slim athletic build, I'm actually getting more annoyed with brands changing the size of everything to make people think their slimmer than they really are, in 10 years I've gone from a size 32 waist and 38 to 40 chest to 28 inch waist and 36 to 38 chest. In reality I've put on more bulk and eat like a horse. It's actually limiting clothes I can buy!

Which is why i said its a curse for me. The 16.5inch collar is fine, but as I'm quite broad across the shoulders the chest of a 16.5shirt looks as if the buttons are about to pop off anytime i remotely stretch. Whilst i do have a wee belly going on the shirt isn't tight as it is across my shoulders / chest.

Maybe not the right place for this but as I don't have a Mumsnet account, any advice regarding washing black jeans for the first time?

Nudie recommend not washing at all, or if you really must then not for the first six months, but after just two they're starting to look dirty.

I'm sure it's been mentioned in this thread - but can anyone remind me of a place that sells jeans for slim waists and large thighs? I'm running out of jeans at the moment, they last about a year as they end up wearing away at the thigh where they rub. 95% of the off the peg jeans just don't fit unless I opt for a 38" waist which is ridiculous.

I've tried sites such as high and mighty and jacamo, but they tend to cater for the very big, or the tall and not for oddities with small wastes, large thighs, and regular sort of height.

Not sure if you can get them delivered back over in Blighty, but consider Gongshow jeans. They're designed for ice hockey players, so the thigh area is a bit roomier.

I'm considering another leather jacket and have been extremely pleased with with brown racer jacket thT i bought from Soul Revolver last year. If they have another sale I'll probably grab one. I was considering a brown leather 1970's style bomber such as one of the following, especially as the Soul Revolver fit is so slim and fitted at the waist (I have a much slimmer waist than chest/shoulders so most jackets tend to billow at the bottom):

Jacket 1 - I love this style but think it might be a little too light in colour:

Jacket 2 - Maybe this one? But I'm not so sure on the slighly more fussy detail:

Jacket 3 - Or this?

Jacket 4 - Finally this isn't a bomber but the colour is quite unusual:

Just after some opinions.

EDIT: Just one final Jacket 5. Also not a 70's collared jacket but I keep looking at the simplicity of this one:
