** THE FIRST FREESYNC MONITOR ARRIVES AT OcUK!! **

Enjoy your display. It's undoubtedly a great screen and if you don't mind waiting then knock yourself out.

The fact remains that various tech sites haven't pulled out the FreeSync stuff from thin air. As it was so widely reported by, like everyone, I'm sure AMD would have issued a correction if it was wrong.

Yeah, the fact it was touted by literally every single tech site on the face of the planet makes it too hard to believe it wasn't touted by AMD at least to them.

As far as any AMD official public stuff goes, there's nothing.

I've went to first page on AMD Drivers, Matt's post hasn't been edited since a day after it was created.

I'll let them off with the Freesync thing, he hasn't got it mentioned.
But AMD never came forward to correct the dozens and dozens of "Freesync is included" articles.

It's still a crap situation though.

Because HQ isn't clued up enough to expect the unexpected and have drivers in place for cluster ***** like this.

Like said. Can't really blame amd when nowhere should really be selling the monitors yet.

Too many high execs at twitter showing off their Porsche hire cars and fancy hotel pics blowing AMD's limited resources rather than spend the cash on product.

Granted they can't hold the boat back as they have no control over monitor shipments, it's out of their hands, but should have had the driver in place in any event for situations like this.

Yeah I've being pushing for FREESYNC like crazy, why do you think OcUK was first to market with Acer, LG and with BenQ in stock.

I made the assumption as others here had done FREESYNC was already present in the Omega drivers, it is why I got one yesterday to play with and it was last night I was like oh, so where is FREESYNC option in drivers, spoke with the execs in USA and they told me that the launch date is not 19th and enquired as to hell on earth I'd got stock so early. We know the answer to that, I am amazing. :D ;)

I am pushing hard now to try bring the launch forward and although I am amazing we might just have to wait 14 days until we can play. :)

Guess that's what happens when the only "public" release date is a 3 month window.

It would definitely solve the she said, he said, issue on when it is available. But AMD really need to solve their perception issues because if a people are perceiving it to already be available and then it's not (even people like Gibbo) then that's an issue.

No you cannot, but they should bring the release forward so they can release them this week or early next week, if they ready of course and to be honest they should be ready by now or they need new management at the software driver section.

Hi there

FREESYNC update, I can't test it! :(
Spoken with AMD and they gave me this official response:

AMD is very excited that monitors compatible with AMD FreeSync™ technology are now available in select regions. We know gamers are excited to bring home an incredibly smooth and tearing-free PC gaming experience powered by AMD Radeon™ GPUs and AMD A-Series APUs. We’re pleased to announce that a compatible AMD Catalyst™ graphics driver to enable AMD FreeSync™ technology for single-GPU configurations will be publicly available on AMD.com starting March 19, 2015. Support for AMD CrossFire™ configurations will be available the following month in April, 2015.

It seems BenQ and OcUK have jumped the gun a little with getting physical stock, so enjoy the monitors for their performance be ready to download the FREESYNC driver on the 19th, so not to long to wait.

In the meantime I shall ask AMD if they can maybe help OcUK with getting a BETA driver. :)

Pmsl, im bloody crying here, absolutely brilliant, you couldn't make it up! :D :D :D :D

When I try to enable 144hz @ 1440p my screen freaks out??

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MQk0lciDfM

1080p 144hz is fine. or 1440p 120hz is fine.

If I take a screenshot it comes out fine, so its pointing at a fault with the display.

Swifts had the same problems. The screens were a bit flaky at 144 Hz at 1440. 120 - 144 is not really very noticeable so I'd just go with 120.
