** THE FIRST FREESYNC MONITOR ARRIVES AT OcUK!! **

So what is it like being an early adopter of freesync? Was it worth the over a year wait? What have you done with the money saved over gsync?

Freesync wasn't the main reason I bought this monitor.. Freesync is a Bonus to me.. If I like it I like it if I dont no loss to me..

Want more proof look that up how much I have said that over the past couple months..

It's irrelevant. It was reported as such by like every tech site. They wouldn't pull it out of thin air. They were briefed by somebody from AMD. Focusing on the driver notes is just purposefully obtuse.

It is what it is. I'd be annoyed if it was me who had bought into it though if you're not unhappy then crack on.

not sure why people think this is a f up. if the monitors shouldnt really be out yet then thats not AMD fault. tis only 2 weeks away anyway then there will be freesync galore for single cards.

I have looked at what you said over the months, Freesync in the omega driver one of them. But hey no point arguing I know how bad you must feel.

Assumption, nothing wrong with that though.

Well of course it's assumption

It's a fair assumption to make that if everywhere is reporting the same thing that there has been briefing going on to that effect.

I don't think its coherent to suggest that either the tech sites all independently made the same thing up or that they collaborated to make the same thing up. If they got the wrong end of the stick from the briefing (which is the only other reason I can think of) then AMD should have corrected them.

But meh like I say it is what it is. I don't think AMD have gone back and edited things like the great conspiracist Martini thinks :p. But I do think they have had a communication problem here and also other occasions too.

These guys could give till the end of March to send back, like they did with end of Feb for the 970s, so at least the early adopters can get a chance to try it out first, but if the driver doesn't turn up, i guess they could just start taking them back.

That's not what I said to look for! I said look for how much Freesync dont bother me. I didn't buy this monitor for Freesync.

To be completely honest am more gutted about 144hz than using freesync.

Sorry but I am literally ******* myself laughing - after all the jibes, etc. at GSync this is terrific.

(not at OcUK - you guys trying to push the envelope and get new tech actually out there is great).

I feel exactly the same, the gync thread was literally destroyed beyond repair by certain fanboys that no serious discussion could be had.

However, I'm sure this will come good eventually, more competition is needed.

If it works as good as/better than gsync then it's worth the wait.

Send it back then. Tbh if it's like the Swifts the panels will be right on the edge of stability at 1440/144 but that's its advertised specs so it should run at it. If you're happy with 1440/120 then jobs a guddun.
