** THE FIRST FREESYNC MONITOR ARRIVES AT OcUK!! **

Well of course it's assumption

It's a fair assumption to make that if everywhere is reporting the same thing that there has been briefing going on to that effect.

I don't think its coherent to suggest that either the tech sites all independently made the same thing up or that they collaborated to make the same thing up. If they got the wrong end of the stick from the briefing (which is the only other reason I can think of) then AMD should have corrected them.

But meh like I say it is what it is. I don't think AMD have gone back and edited things like the great conspiracist Martini thinks :p. But I do think they have had a communication problem here and also other occasions too.

Ha, yeah, that was somewhat kidding.

It's obviously a big communication problem.

It's no good people just saying "BenQ broke release date" as it obviously wasn't that simple. More a case of AMD underestimating people getting it out before their planned launch date most likely. Like Mantle with EA.

That's not what I said to look for! I said look for how much Freesync dont bother me. I didn't buy this monitor for Freesync.

To be completely honest am more gutted about 144hz than using freesync.

I bet 99/100 in a blind test you wouldnt be able to tell whats 120hz and whats 144hz.

You bet you bought that monitor for freesync.

Nope I bought this monitor upgrading from 1080p to 1440p 120hz to 144hz

again if you feel am lying look up over the months I have said Freesync is a bonus to me..

I don't like locking frame rate never have, What I do want to test is Freesync enabled with Vsync disabled..

It went to 509 pound on a "Today Only" (Mispriced, but OCUK honored), did you buy one?

No I never, because like I also said countless time I want to try Freesync.. I cant say I dont like something unless I try it first.. That dont mean its the reason I bought this monitor..

I Bought a 3D tv to try for myself didn't like it but that wasn't the reason I bought the tv either..

I run my Swift at 120Hz most of the time due to a variety of reasons - none the least I think 144Hz was rushed in and has some issues due to that and honestly can't really tell the difference between 120Hz and 144Hz - whereas I can easily double blind test the difference between 60 and 120Hz.

TBH I'd buy one just for 1440p at 120Hz never mind 144Hz aside from I don't personally get on with BenQ's colours its worth the money just for that let alone 144Hz and/or Freesync - these panels are cheap really for what you get (when Freesync works).

PS I did give heads up that there was issues with 144Hz on AMD cards and these kind of panels and got rubbished for it :S

144hz will help more hiding screen tear than feeling the difference..

True - I find 125fps cap with 120Hz and no vsync works pretty well for hiding screen tear/rippling though.
