I think you are right, since 1440p @ 144Hz does not work on the Swift either according to some posts on this forum. However it would not be a deal breaker for me since I am waiting for the R9 300 series...surely that will work at 144Hz(I hope!).

At any rate 120Hz is good enough for me as long as Freesync is in good working order, and actual image quality isn't bad on this monitor.

I need a new monitor soon!
 
Thinking back someone told me on this very forum told me that the driver was ready to go back then and that was a few months ago. Did AMD remove if from the driver at some point?
 
I just received a delivery of contact lenses to find a pack of Haribos in there, can someone confirm if they received Haribos with the monitor.

If so then I will be getting 3 deliveries of Haribos today! Lucky me!

Yeah, don't buy the cheap white cables from ocUK. I bought one for my 295X2 and it would frequently lose signal. My monitor would flicker off and on when anything bright white was on the screen.

Hi, Could you give me your impressions of the monitor itself? What was your last monitor? I am upgrading my monitor in the next few weeks and this looks like a good one.

It's no biggie about freesync, I wasn't expecting any monitors to be released until the end of March at the earliest, so I was kinda surprised to see BenQ release theirs early with no notice at all. Of course this makes AMD look bad. The lack of reviews or any sort of notice/press release or anything like that shows that BenQ jumped the gun.

Just a question for you. I see you are thinking of returning it because the driver isn't out yet? Can I ask, if this monitor had come out on the 24th of March would you keep it?

I couldn't resist :D I am quite amazed that AMD haven't got a driver out in truth and even more amazed that Shankly isn't fuming. If nVidia did that to me, I would be going mad on their forums....

I also remember Rroff telling people that AMD don't do 1440P and 144Hz, so anyone who read that got a heads up.

Still, only a couple of weeks to wait (hopefully) and a couple of months for CF, so when you have waited this long, what's a little longer? I am sure it will be good and the one thing that makes it better than G-Sync is frame control, so kudos to AMD :)
