The first "proper" Kepler news Fri 17th Feb?

I had one here in the UK that i was not allowed to work for another company in the same field within a certain radius for a specified amount of time, i broke both of those without repercussion numerous times bunny hopping between them and £8000 a year pay rise :D to stop me jumping again.

Such clauses are illegal in the UK

Been as though my 15 year old daughter did the Photoshop for me, ill have words with her in the morning for not pointing it out, as for me im still drinking Bass and could not give a fig!

Glad you pointed it out!!!!!!!! you feel better now, still very petty. My bad booze and sodding spell checker (anyway dyslexic grammar read what it looks like not what is says)

By the way i thought she did a good job of it, more of her work
I'm not trying to be rude but am I right in assuming that English isn't your first language?

Anyway, I'm waiting to see benchmarks for 1440/1600p because it's all very well offering better performance at 1080p but if the VRAM limits it at higher resolutions then I think a lot of people will be disappointed.

Didn't he just imply he was dyslexic? Or perhaps drunk to that effect. I liked the concept of that photo. Thought it was good.

I am keeping an eye on this thread thinking some actual useful info awaits... Seems not just at the moment. ;)

This is going for 507.18€ on some NL site.

So was that card good value? not really. Considering you could get a card for £150 that could do exactly what it did it was hardly worth it.

you said this twice, yet the links you posted directly contradict this statement, having gone back and checked that the links you posted contradict your own statement you are now saying you never said this ^

ALXAndy said:
No different to cards now tbh. Taking the 7970 as an example to that. In 99% of situations the 7950 will do everything it can. Hell, even the 7870 could.

I guess you could say that Nvidia invented willy waving.

so in your rush to call anyone who wants a 680 a willy waver you have inadvertently referred to all 7970 owners as pointless willy wavers

so having admitted that you yourself are a pointless willy waver, is there anything of any value you actually want to try to say?

I'm not "attacking" you, if you feel that way then maybe you need to step away from the internet. People are quite capable of getting defensive when THEY perceive they are being attacked, whether or not that attack is real or imaginary.

I am quite capable of having a reasoned and well thought discussion, however you seem quite happy to contradict yourself or say "I never said that" whenever it suits your aim of simply trying to get further comment. I am also quite capable of simply recognising that someone holds a different opinion to me, however again, you state "facts" that you've incorrectly gleaned from "the internet" or attribute comments to people/companies that they themselves never made.

It's quite amusing that you tell me that I am putting words in your mouth and to "stop that. right there." when that is the basis of most of your rants on this thread.

I know quite a few people with dyslexia and usually when writing their sentence structure is fine, it's just that they make more spelling mistakes and grammatical errors (so it's pretty much indistinguishable from normal internet posts).

Looking at the leaked benchmark scores, I think it's worth pointing out that the specs of the machine - a 5GHz 3960X (6-core). It's certainly not your typical test setup. And while most enthusiasts here do have a decent overclock, I only bring it up because most of the reliable / more trustworthy review sites have much less extreme systems. Certainly the methodology raises some warning flags, though that's taken for granted given the nature of the leaks.

it's quite common to have a test system that ensures that other components are not the bottleneck

according to most posts in the CPU section a 2500k overclocked is faster in games anyway as most games don't use more than 2 cores

if that has changed then for some of us that is only a good thing

As for "Nvidiots" or what not. I just don't like the dirty tricks being used with Kepler. They are the same dirty tricks used with Fermi.

a bit off topic but I followed all the bulldozer stuff pretty closely and am still a bit peeved about how their marketing team talked it up. Even got others to do it also on review sites etc ...

What wrong with using an extreme system to test this? All they were doing was comparing the GPU's, so it does not matter.

Each CPU and overall system may affect the GPU anyway. I like knowing the 'extremes' of what a card can achieve.

With pricing looking like + £430 for launch reference cards, maybe + £480 for custom cooling cards,I think I will skip the gtx680.
No way Im paying that cash for Baby Kelper.Starting to save now for Daddy Kelper at end of year,+ £600 might not even cover it.
Will struggle on for another few months with my 580,dissapointed but not shocked,AMD and nNvidia are playing us like fiddles.

Looks like I'll be doing the same. :)

Anyone tried overclocking they're gtx560ti's to beat the gtx480 by 17%? :p

Because this is basicly what Nvidia have done, and then named it the gtx680. :(

These can't come quick enough so I can dump this temporary 6450 and finally make the most of my 2560x1440
