The first "proper" Kepler news Fri 17th Feb?

Its hilarious as for years nvidia guys going on about the 9800gtx/gtx260/gtx470/gtx480. These were all great overclocking cards and people were all told to buy because of there overclocking with lines such as its not great at stock but when you overclock it comes into its own. This is not true of the gtx680 as the 7970 catches it up or overtakes.

Theres no doubt at stock the gtx680 is the faster card but when overclocking comes into the arguement its not so clear. Nobody even knows the limit of clocking the gtx680 as the card decides.

The whole GTX460 vs HD6850 debate is the one which had me in stitches.

What is worth considering is the way offset is used now.

What would be VERY interesting is if drivers/tools could uncap the boosted speed period and let the card go as high as it wants to within 2x6 Pin PCI-E spec (225Watts?) using the same calculations it uses now.

Offset. while a nice way of doing it appears to be a manual intrusion onto the cards automatic tenancies and if it 'breaks' the power envelope the card throws a bit of a fit.

I assume you didn't target the NCR?? :p

Nah. I tried to use it as a weapon (got the transmitter) for the Archimedes II death ray. But, this play through has been based around getting Arcade Gannon to open up about the Enclave and open the remnants bunker for me (I want the power armour. Already got the story about Veronica being a lesbian)

Any way, when I set it up for Archimedes II Arcade Gannon flipped the lid and stomped off :( So I ended up sending the power to West Side and Freeside.

I'm sided with the NCR, but they have power from Hoover Dam.

It's quite easy to move a slider. It's less easy to hit apply and then run Furmark.

While it probably is total balls the clocks are dynamic, they would not be running at those speeds unless load was applied.

For all we know it's a photoshop. Hell, the Temp is 0 Deg C apparently so this could be under LN2 and the tool cannot read negative values.

According to those guys it didn't beat the 1800MHz R7970 they had.

It's all too samey! 15035 was the 7970 score.
