Where are the links to it being the orange order? Also i never once heard of a Scottish flag being burned in the whole of Ireland at any time and this place is normally a lot worse. I went to Scotland about five or six times to the Twelfth in Perth and other areas and everyone always treated 3 flags with the utmost respect.

And those three were the flag of NI, The Saltire and the Union Jack. I cannot recall ever seeing a Welsh or English flag so no idea what kind of muppet would burn a saltire.

How else do you prove a lodge member is present then? When the uniform is off they are a normal person, You can call them a Unionist the Orange Lodge are not going to kick off in a square with bottles of buckfast.


They are above that and actually only about 1% of Unionists are in a lodge due to the yearly commitments. You do not just join and become an Orangeman you have to be active yearly. Football fans and band members... Now were on the right route as to who might cause trouble with some buckfast hehe.

I agree with many of the sentiments here. They are just thugs doing what thugs do. The vote was nothing more than an excuse to have their fun.

There were thugs there on both sides. Yes supporters going down specifically to cause trouble at the No celebrations, giving the thugs on the No side an outlet to channel their thuggery to. Otherwise why else would they be in attendance at a Pro Union rally? Especially after having the square for the previous couple nights to celebrate their pro independence stance (where there were reports of Union Flags also being burned).

Responsibility lies on both sides. No need to kid yourselves about this. And after the weekend, these thugs will get back to channelling their hatred through the normal channels. Football. They (both sides) must have taken it tough with Rangers having to work their way back up the ranks, there has been little in the way of Old Firm thuggery for a while.
