The GTR is dead! Long live the cryptolambo!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being jealous, nor comparing your own life. The issues start when you turn those thoughts around and start complaining about other people’s lives/lifestyle.

I have no issue at all with stating that I’m jealous and envious, but at the same time I’m thrilled for @kindai to be living his dream, and to have achieved it young!

Exactly, and I also openly admit to being jelly of Crinkle but it just drives me to earn more. I could never be jelly of Kindai tho, dude looks like a 70s porn star :D

Hi all!

So have now been out in the G for... everyday since I've had it, so 12 days, fed it nearly £350 of fuel and driven it in a variety of conditions.

Every time I get in this car, I feel like a million quid. I'm driving a frikkin Lamborghini! From the moment it starts up to the moment it turns off I'm sat there grinning my face off like a 3 year old.

The sound is absolutely addictive, you want to keep it over 3k RPM just to open the valves just to hear it scream. This had meant driving around a lot in lower gears... hence the fuel bill haha.

The car itself feels extremely twitchy despite being AWD, yet at the same time I've only had TC kick in a couple of times. It actually makes it quite heart pounding to drive, and changing gears on anything but the straightest of roads gives a sensation that its about to slide, you sit there waiting to catch it, but it never happens, then it bangs that clutch in and you go from half terror to half insatiable thirst for more. It really is something else.

Have decided to book a day in with Colin at CATDT to explore the limits of the car safely. Drove back today and despite knowing the roads and taking them considerably faster in the GTR, in the Lambo it felt right on the very edge the entire time, I got out heart racing, palms sweaty and the best feeling of enjoyment ever! The GTR flatters, it really does, but I never got out of it thinking or feeling like getting out the Lambo. Absolutely the right choice to switch.

Glad you love it!

One bit of advice, its several years old!
I bet the alignment is miles out, as it is the one thing 99% of owners, even enthusiast never consider.

I would recommend at the very least you take it to a garage with a good alignment system to get it back within factory tolerance!
Even better get it to a specialist like Centre of Gravity to give the suspension a thorough inspection and then to put a fast road alignment on the car. It will transform it!

I do this with every car I buy, because they always tend to be miles out, the SVR was not bad but it was out on toe settings quite a bit and it was only a year old. General driving, pot holes knocks them out as to bushes wearing etc.

Definitely something not quite right there. One of the things I loved about the Gallardo was how you could corner ridiculously quick, with it feeling totally planted the entire time.

Its old Pzero tyres, its why the first thing I did was order new tyres, but theyre having issue getting the N0 marked MPS4S ive ordered, were supposed to be here this week, but unlikely for another week at least now.

More salt in this thread than on the roads right now.

Well what do you expect if it can’t be pointed at drugs, mummy or daddy’s money, or lotto win.

The thing is, there is a major thing on this forum and many others where certain posters get their backsides polished because they’ve bought a car. It’s nice that they share the experience, but, some of the comments are sometimes a bit too much when it comes to being negative. Fair enough its the internet but no one would say it in person to said poster so...

Rant over.
