Surprised your getting 75C @ 1200 though mine is only 65-67C @ 1080 in most games. I do have a 120mm side case fan sucking cool air directly over the backplate & a 2" gap all round now as I moved the card to the 2nd PCI-E slot so its on its own.

Ive gone for an ROG swift gsync monitor. 75c is on the stock fan profile but i used the same one i had with my old sli 780 setup. 65c max with it and very little noise. Tbh ive used this card very little for gaming, recently switched from a Z87 system to X99. No games currently installed as my back up hdd kicked the bucket mid build. Card is in the top slot of my msi mpower board.

Good to hear not just me then! Getting 66C right now on Arkham Knight @ 4K thats fine but when the ambient air temps rise so does the GPU!

If you can move the card down a few slots so its directly in front of the fan blowing cool air at the backplate. This made mine a little better temps wise. Your case has plenty of room so 1440 should be great.

Theres a further two 120mm intake fans on the floor of the case, (not visible in that shot). Gotta reinstall afterburner just to see what temps are like at present. In my previous setup at stock it idled at 29c, 25c with the custom fan setting which overrides the zero fan function.
 
80c's considered 'normal' for a high end GPU, especially under 100% load (I think the reference 980Ti hits a thermal wall of 83c without any user modification) - I wouldn't say something is wrong, just that it isn't the best. The 6G is a very good all round card, and its fans are extremely quiet (which I'd assume is more important than heat to you after your previous post)
 
Hmm just trying to consider all my options.

Having said that, my room gets very hot already with my current setup. It's only a small box room :(
 
Early Xmass box 980 Ti Poseidon from SLI 4GB 670 H2o cooled as it was on sale for £620 and well impressed.

Temps are just about spot on quoted in the reviews, l usually buy a GPU and put the blocks on myself, its very easy to install.

Anyone thinking of adding a watercooled 980 Ti to thier loop look no further than the Poseidon its got looks, performance and works out cheaper.

I've not really read through the last few pages but what temperatures are people getting with the 6G?

Playing The Witcher 3 the past week and never seen it go above 65C. That's with the core running at 1470MHz, memory at 7500MHz, and full fan speed at 1440p with every maxxed minus Hairworks.
