The butt is a lie
I can't play females. It just feels wrong. Plus, the male character always seems cooler to me. Especially when kitted out in good armor/etc.
Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I'm not advocating the use of png/bmp files, just some decently compressed jpegs; after all, what's the point of having high res pictures, if the resolution is wasted because of jpeg artifacts?
The free software is out there, it's not difficult.
I've got my wife for that and because she is actually real I can do more than just stare at it

STO looks quite nice, presuming you haven't scaled that down to make it look better.
